I have only come across this definition lately (within the last 12 months) but have love the style of this genre for a while. The women dress provocatively, but have that repressed victorian persona. It speaks to my interest in the D/s lifestyle. But perhaps that is just me?

It's not just you. I mentioned the D/s aspect connection for me as well. And it would appear that other people have the same idea.

I once saw a small art piece many years ago. It was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen at the time. It was called 'time machine' and was about the size of a toaster. Thinking about it now, it was very 'steam punk'. It was too expensive for me to buy at the time, but I never forgot it.

The gun reminds me of the game Bioshock. Anyone play that? It was set in the fifties in an underwater city, so it was high tech... but fifties. It was quite a boring game but the setting was totally unique and made it quite interesting.
