Steam game suggestions?

I'm hoping we have some gamers in here....I used to game eons ago on a xbox and xbox360....but got away from it after my divorce. Dipped my toes in a bit after a friend built me a gaming PC, and then life happened and got away from it. I know there is going to be a Steam sale soonish and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

My tastes vary quiet a bit, back when I was console gaming I often played the Halo series and Oblivion. Never really got into COD. That's about the era I stopped playing...I fired up the Master Chief edition of Halo last night and enjoyed blasting through campaign mode. Fun and relaxing.

I'm looking for a distraction as life has been a struggle lately and need something to occupy my mind and time, especially with winter being in full force. My friend just did a couple upgrades to my PC and now I want new games....anyone have any favorites? I'd love suggestions!

I recently loaded up Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.

Still the best FPS IMHO, even if the graphics are now horribly outdated. The gameplay is unrivaled.

I've been enjoying Noita quite a bit.

Duck Game is another one that is frantic and a lot of fun to play with friends.
