Star Wars: Return of the Sith

"Come Luke," Tynan calls out, and bows his head to Raine, before falling in step behind the Jedi Master, with Luke walking on his left side. The boy, he noted with a half-smile, also bowed to the Jedi. He supposed he could train him until they found a suitable replacement.

The Jedi Master seemed to prefer silence to idle chatter, which suited Tynan just fine. He was never one for light conversation himself. Instead, Tynan studied his surroundings as the Jedi Master led them to their accomodations. The halls of the compound were relatively small, lending themselves to defense. Numbers wouldn't mean as much as skill in such close confines. A few well trained soldiers could hold some of these passages against many times their number. A Jedi... well, who knows?

Soon they came to their rooms, and Kelson stepped aside. Tynan spoke first.

He bowed. "Thank you for your hospitality, Master Kelson."

"Thank you for your hospitality, Master Kelson," Luke piped in, imitating Tynan's bow, only lower.

Interesting. The boy know that he should offer a lower bow to the Master, as an apprentice, without Tynan having instructed him to do so.

"Master... I do believe there is great danger coming. For all of us. If you have any regular patrols, I'd like to take a few shifts while I'm here. I might be able to sense something the others might miss."

Daelon

"Hmmm..." Daelon muttered. He and the jedi Dartum had been waiting at the meeting room for five minutes, but still no sign of Raine or Kelson.
"Well, it seems the others aren't coming back." he said, gesturing down a hallway. "I will show you to your quarters, if you wish. If the others have questions for you, I trust that you will not mind them dropping in?"

Kelson looked at the man for a few moments, he had almost spoken in telling the man he was not allowed to go...being, after all, a stranger to this compound and a security risk. However, Raine and him had worked for a long time...then again, he was a bounty hunter.

Not that there was anything wrong with such, thought Kelson in reflection.

"We will see. I'm sure you understand my misgivings about such an action." spoke Kelson in a calm voice as he looked into the Jedi's eyes...almost like an xray machine examing the chest.

Quickly his eyes glanced to Luke then back, "I will return later tonight to see after the young one. Tomorrow, if you don't mind, I would like to speak with you for a bit. Is there anything else?"

OOC) After everything is finalized, Kelson will 'request' (not a request, more of an order) that all weapons (including the lightsaber(s?)) be handed over. If that goes smoothly, he'll next meet with the other visitor.

Tynan nodded, and bowed to the Jedi Master. He should have known he wouldn't be trusted.

"I understand. Until later then."

Following a quiet exchange, Kelson thanked the Jedi and clipped the other's tripley of lightsabers onto the belt under the robe. A short bow was exchanged then Kelson turned and made his way towards Daelon, knowing instinctively where his young pupil was.

Tynan hated giving up his weapons. Were it not for the vision of Master Skywalker, he would have refused, even if it meant leaving the planet and taking the boy elsewhere.

The vision, however, had made an impression on him. Enough of one to make him take this uncharacteristic turn. Besides, he was hardly helpless even barehanded.

One of Master Skywalker's most recent ideas before his death was to bring in Noghri bodyguards, among the most skilled warriors in the galaxy at hand to hand combat, to train the apprentices. He believed it was a good idea for a Jedi to be able to take care of themselves if the Force were denied to them, somehow. While Tynan hadn't learned enough to be considered as good as the Noghri, he was formidable. And he still had the Force as his ally.

He led Luke into their rooms.

"Meditate, and get some sleep. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow."

He had no idea how prophetic those words would be.

Daelon

Daelon opened the door, gesturing for Dartum to enter the guest's chambers. Dartum stepped in and looked around the room, while Daelon suddenly felt the presence of his master. He turned to see Kelson walking down the hallway towards him.
"Master, it is good to see you." Daelon said, bowing his head in respect as the Jedi neared him.

Kelson bows in reply, his padawan deserved more then a mere gesture of the head. He really was advancing quite a bit...they had feared for a while he would never gain much control over the force- was that why Kelson had been chosen? Ignoring these thoughts, Kelson's eyes returned to his padawan's.

"How is our visitor, young one?"

Daelon Eldritch

"He is fine. I have just shown him to his chambers, he's in there if you want to speak with him..." Daelon turned to gesture into the room, but was confronted immediately by Dartum. Strange that he hadn't felt the man's presence there.
"Oh. Or he could be just behind me." Daelon said, dissapointed he had let his concentration slip right in front of his master.

"Good day, Dartum wasn't it?" said Kelson smoothly as his eyes played over the other's features.

"I hope you didn't wait in...impatience...there are few times when we have so many things to do or events such as these appearing over the horizon. Daelon, go see to Raine then meditate, we will speak later."

Tholin Mod, Sith Warrior

Kerra & I sit in silence for a while, she seeking answers that are hidden in her mind, & I was roaming the past in mine. I felt the ship drop out into realspace, then back into hyperspace a few minutes later. I noticed that Kerra was still stunned at what she had learned. " Come little one, you need rest." I stood her up & led her to her quarters. Once inside, I put her to bed, calling upon the Force to help her fall asleep. I then returned to my quarters. Hours pass as I meditate, loosing myself within the currents of the Force.
I come out of the trance when I feel the ship come out of hyperspace, & know I am at the planet. I feel the ripples in the force, & know that powerful Jedi are on the planet below me. I gather my things, Lanvarok strapped to my right arm, & my lightsaber on my belt. I put on my cloak, then head to the bridge.
Mogo is still at the controls, giving me a very grim look as I step onto the bridge.
" Put it down over there, then after I get off the ship close it up. Let no one on but the Captain, & if you have to,leave. Something is going to happen here, & I do not know what it will be."
I then turned & left the bridge, not waiting for his reply. I had my apprentice to gather, & my fate to meet.

Daelon

His duties finally over, Daelon was relieved when he finally reached his personal chambers. He stepped in, taking in a deep breath of the tranquility in the room. A smile spread across his face as he breathed it out. This place always made him feel peace in his heart... he had no idea why.
The young padawan sat down, his legs crossed under him, immediately closing his eyes and allowing his mind to slip away.

Tynan supervised Lukes meditations, and then sent him off to sleep. He, unfortunately, could not. There was danger near. He knew it.

The vision of Master Skywalker only confirmed this.

But what kind of danger. He opened communication to the base, informing them that he would be using a slave circuit to bring Talon closer to the base. After being told by the soldier in charge that his ship would be blown out of the sky unless it took a long curcuitous route around the base to bring it close, he engaged the slave circuit, and programmed the flight path.

Talon now rested on the edge of the base itself, close enough for an easy escape if needed.

He meant what he said about defending the base, but if it came down to it, the Talon was a formidable weapon.

He sat on the floor, and closed his eyes, sliding into a trance. All the time, wondering what the future would bring.

"I don't know what he is to her but he seems like a major asshole to me," Orin mumbles to Mogo.

As Mogo brings the ship near to the surface Orin finds the hatch release and the ship rumbles slightly as the ramp is lowered toward the ground. After a minute or so he hits the release again to close the hatch and Mogo gives the drives a boost and the freighter pushes away and into the air.

OCC: I remade the intro of this thread to have more of a Star Wars feel. :)

Kerra Shiran

She feels the blood drain from her face, stunned at what has been told to her. *He is my grandfather ... * They sit in silence not knowing what to say to the other. The combination of the force-wave, the high usage of the force & her blackout episode takes their toll. Kerra struggles to stay awake & focused, not noticing the drop & re-entrance to hyperspace. Tholin notices her condition. "Come little one, you need rest." He immediately led & practically carries her to her own bed. Tucking her in then brushing the hair away from her face. *Sleep child.* He gives a slight mental push with the force. Kerra falls into a fit full sleep.

Flashes of memories assault her, she see her papa receiving a vid call from Uncle Lucas. He told papa that Aunty Arianna was dead & that he was going to Mached V to hide himself & little Jono. He suggested getting out of there & hiding the family. The last thing he says was "Give my love to your wife, my sister." The connection was then lost. Kerra knew she should not be eavesdropping instead of studying. But she was having a bad feeling about all of this. The door to their dwelling chimes.

Thyese gives her a brief hug, as she walks pass. "I'll get it Royan, why don't you give Kerra her bath, while I get rid of our visitor. It must be that nasty Toydarian salesman. He can never take no for an answer." Her parents briefly kiss over her head & papa leads her to the bathing room. Answering the door, a figure shrouded in a robe stands before her. "If you are selling something we do not need it."

A voice resonated from the cowl. "I am not a salesman. Is this the Shiran residence? I must speak to Royan Shiran; I come bearing news about his sister Arianna." Thyese motions for the stranger to come inside. "I will get my husband for you." Looking over her shoulder, she calls out to him. "Royan, there is someone here to see you about our sister." She turns back to the figure. "Please come in ..." The robe figure is now holding a active red saber & cuts her down with a swift blow.

A few minutes earlier at the same time ...
Kerra hears her mother's voice calling papa to the door. The feeling she has been having gets worst. Grabbing a hold of her father sleeve right before he goes to answer the call. "Papa don't go, don't leave me. I feel sick." Royan looks down at his daughter. Using what little control of the force that he has. He reads her condition. "Kerra, it will be fine. What ever you see or hear, do not make a sound. Do what your Aunt taught you, go hide."

Kerra dives into the ventilation ducts, as Royan covers it behind her. "Remember we love you & will watch out for you always." He peers though the slats. "Yes papa. I will remember always." She crawls into her favorite spot that she could see what was going on from the front room. Her mother turns to the dark robe figure, that ignites a red saber & cuts her down. *No, Mama!!!*

Her father comes right up just as Thyese's body starts falling to the ground. "NOOOO ~ Thyese. You bastards." He manages to pull out his baster & fire a few bolts. They are defected away harmlessly before he is cut down. *PAPA!!!* She feel someone brush back her hair. *We will be with you always daughter. Follow your heart & seek the light.* Then it was gone. Royan's body hits the ground, his hand only inches away from his beloved wife Thyese.

Kerra Shiran

"Search the dwelling, find the child!" The voice startles her, as a group of troopers comes in tearing the place up looking for her. The killer comes in after the group, searching with his mind & the force. She can feel the taint resonating from him. Kerra does what Arianna taught her & thought of nothing, hiding herself in the force. One of the men reports. "There is no one here sir." In pure rage, the man kills the reporting soldier & leaves. The rest of the men follow, leaving thier comrade like a pile of refuge.

Kerra sitting there or what seems to be hours after the men have left. No one has come to check what has happen. What person in thier right mind would mess with business of the Empire. She crawls out of the vent & makes her way to the slashed bodies of her parents. Still numb from what she had just witnessed. Kerra take a hold of Royan's & Thyese's hands, that are just inches from touching, & completes the link. The tears start flowing down her face, mourning the senseless death of her parents, her home, her family, her innocent childhood.

*NO, NO, NO!!! Mama!! Papa!! WHY, WHY, WHY!!!* Tears starts to fall from her face as she dreams & tosses in her bunk. Waves of grief, despair & loneliness are sent out thru the force. From the girl she was, in her dream, & the girl that was still there, under all that cockiness & bravo. *Why did you kill them? What did we do to you?* A voice answers in her mind. *Because you exsist, you must die.* Kerra starts screaming. "NOOOOOOOO ~"

Luke

Luke couldn't sleep no matter how much he tried. Things were happening too fast for him. before Tynan had come into his life, he had no idea where the unique abilities he had came from. Now he knew. It was the Force, and he would be a Jedi someday. The thought scared him, but not as much as the Sith.

On of his only real memories of the institute where he had grown up had been the night nurse whispering to him that the Emperor would get him if he didn't behave. Or that Darth Vader would come for him. At the time, he didn't know who they were, but later on he had found out.

His friend Cory had told him that the Emperor was a Sith, and so was Darth Vader. He had also told him that they had murdered millions of people, and that they weren't really dead. That they could only come back to get bad children, and when they got you, they tortured you slowly, using there magic to keep you alive.

It was around this time when he started to notice that he could do tricks. First it had been small, like being able to move rolled up pieces of paper around. Then it had grown. Until finally he had lifted the keys from one of the guards, and escaped the Intitute. At the time, he had been afraid that Vader would come and get him when he did, but he was much more afraid of the Dark Man.

The Dark Man was always hidden from view, even when he was standing in daylight. He wore a black cloak, even on the desert planet of Tatooine, and always kept the hood pulled low over his face. But that wasn't why you couldn't see him. It was magic. In one of his most brave moment, Luke had leaned low to look at the man's face, and was surprised that he couldn't see it. It was covered in shadow, even though the sun had been in front of the man at the time. The scariest part had been that Luke could feel his eyes on him.

The Dark Man only came to the Institute occasionally, but even then had taken an interest in Luke. He would come to playtime, and stare at Luke intently. Luke could imagine he could feel the man smiling.

D'rack Fran'tok

"Oi you!" A voice comes from the bar. D'rack looks over his shoulder at the man.

"Yes?" D'rack answers as he turns to face the man.

"Next time don't bring hat Droid in here! I'll shoot you myself!"

"As you wish." D'rack said with a hint of boardom in his voice.

"I must find away off this rock and to Coruscant; I have some thing I need to do. But how? I can't find any transport" D'rack thinks to himself as he, and his droid exit the bar.

"87-Q, go to the spaceport, and find a transport to Coruscant, or to a System near it. Meet me back at the Inm; I have a plan." D'rack orders his droid.

"Yes, master." 87-Q says with a bow, turns and hurrys off.

Luke (cont.)

When he had seen Tynan that day in the market, standing there with his black cloak, and holding up the lightsaber, his first thought had been that the Dark Man had found him. Then he looked at Tynan's eyes. He was scary... but different. Luke knew immediately that he would be safe with him, and that he should stay by him. So when Tynan had told him he was taking him off Tatooine, Luke had been thrilled. He would escape the Dark Man!

Now that they had arrived where they were going, Luke was afraid again. He had a bad feeling that if he left Tynan, the Dark Man would find him. He had tried as hard as he could to do everything Tynan had said, hoping all the time that Tynan would change his mind and keep him. Now it looked like Tynan wanted nothing more than to be rid of him for good.

Luke had to change his mind somehow. But how?

These were the thoughts on his mind, as he lay awake that night.

D'rack Fran'tok

As D'rack slowly walks to the Inn, he feels eyes burn into him - the look of frightment in peoples eyes as he passes. He feels as he is being treated as a Sith.

"A Jedi should not have to hide from people, exspecialy here. If only I could show my face, and not have to hide it under the hood of this clock. Hmm-m-m, yes, I look forward to the day were I, Jedi Master D'rack Fran'tok can walk with the crowds with out hiding who, or what I am.... After all, I'm no Sith, I am a Jedi, I am a keeper of the peace.."
Taking a turn into a dark street, D'rack stops, and looks up into the night sky, to the stars.
Stars - millions, and millions of stars; yet, no where, is peace.
"Peace... Seemms like something made up out of a childs book. There has been no peace - for as long as I can remember."
D'rack continues his slow walk - no hurry, he has a feeling of... something. What it is, D'rack can not see.
The Dark side clouds everything.
D'rack stops, and looks over his shoulder. "I sense something... Danger... Trouble... Pain... Hate... Anger... Suffering... Evi..." D'rack is cut off, hearing the sound of a... Lightsaber.

Darth Moridin

He wore the cowl on his black cloak pulled low over his face as he walked the deck of the older Imperial class Star Destroyer Thrawn.

It was on of four he had control over, but only one of three where he currently was. The other two the The Pellaeon and The Emperor's Might were stationed behind the Thrawnso that each was pointed outward, in a deadly triangle.

"Hold here, Captain," his deep voice rumbling from the depths of his cowl. "We'll await the arrival of the Executor II before moving. I'll return when I speak with my apprentice."

He didn't wait for the Captains "Yes, My Lord" before turning and walking into the small communications chamber in the back of the bridge. The time was near, he knew. The other Sith were all making there own plans of conquest, but he had his own designs on the Empire. He had begun aquiring weaponry years ago, one ship at a time. Now he had control over these three, and one of the few remaining Super Star Destroyers in the galaxy in the Executor II , the namesake of Darth Vader's ship, the one that crashed into the Death Star during the Battle of Endor so many years ago.

He walked to the holographic platform, and used the Force to turn it on. A small version of his apprentice appeared kneeling before him. He knew the other would only see a giant holo of his head, looming large above him.

"What is thy bidding, my Master?" his apprentice asked, head bowed.

"Bring the Exector II to me," his voice rumbled across space to the apprentice. "And then I have another assignment for you. One that will be very rewarding for both of us. I will expect you here within the day."

"As you wish," came the reply.

Moridin waved a finger, and the transmission cut off. This apprentice was the best yet. He had had to kill the other two unfortunately, after they had decided that they wanted to be the Master instead of the apprentice. Only time would tell if this one would meet the same fate.

Tholin Mod, Sith Warrior

I heard Kerra scream, & was in her quarters in a instant. i saw her sitting up, and could smell the fear pouring out of her. I went to her and enfolded her in my arms, holding her sobbing face to my chest & soothed her, calming her with my presence & my mind.
" You are safe child, I won't let anyone hurt you. Now get dressed and come with me.bring your lightsaber, but leave the blaster & knives. I will be outside waiting." I turn and leave, waiting on her by her door.
A few minutes later Kerra comes out, dressed in black leather, lightsaber clipped to her side.
"Ready to go..... grandpa" she says with a mischievious smile.
"follow me and do not draw your lightsaber, no matter what happens. We should be landing in a moment. Just stay with me, I don't expect we will have to walk far until we are picked up."
We moved to the hatch, & when the ship landed were out in a instant, then buffeted by the winds as the ship took back off.
Then we moved off twards the jedi that were probably scrambling to intercept us now.

D'rack Fran'tok

At hearing of the Lightsaber, D'rack spun around as he draw his own Lightsaber to bare.

"Only two Jedi I know that use a Purple blade... Old Mace Wandu, and D'rack Fran'tok..." States the tall man w earing a black clock.
"Both dead, from what I hear; so who are you?" Asks the shadowy man, as he sets into a fighting stance.

"D'rack? Dead? I think not! I am D'rack, and who might you be?" D'rack replys with a slight hint of pride in his voice.

"Who I am is not important; all that is, that you; shall not leave here alive, Jedi scum!" The man pcks up his Lightsaber and charges towards D'rack.

Rasing his left hand, D'rack closes his eyes, and throws the mysterious man back, at least 30 feet. "Back off! You do not want to make a mistake."

"You're strong with the force, but not strong enough! The only mistake here, is you. With your way of the force, is no match for the Dark Side! You shall lern a most painful leason here; before your death, You do not know the power of the Dark Side!!" The man picks up his Yellow Lightsaber and runs at D'rack, rasing his Lightsaber ready for the Death Blow.

With a loud shatter, D'rack rases; his Lightsaber to reflect the strike. D"rack looks into the face of his attacker, to see the face of his old Master.

The man backs of , and jumps ten feet in the air and lands behinde D'rack, rasing his Lightsaber to his side, he swings to cut D'rack in half... But only to see D'rack jump, and swing his Lightsaber down...

As D'rack places; his feet on the ground, his Lightsaber cuts through the flesh of his attacker with ease.

"Sorry, Master... You left me no choice."

I was just a smuggler, right? why was I so worried? If she gets killed, she gets killed. I thappened all the time out here. I'd take over the business, with Orin if he wanted to stay on, and that was that. Still, as I lifted the Owl off, leaving Kerra and Tholin (Darth Pompous Ass, I believed his Sith name was) on the ground, I felt sad.
I looked to Orin.
"She'll be fine," I muttered, unconvinced myself. "Just fine..."
Afterall, I wasn't planning on going to far...
I wasn't leaving her here...
