Ok probably no one cares about this but anyway:

I'm a huge sports fan, and everytime I watch sports from all these different countries the social and political aspects of it are astonishing.

I would post a long monologue about some of the history of soccer to explain some of the violence that goes on, but i think i'll see if anyone else is interested first.

So any takers?

It isn't that I wouldn't be interested in that topic its just that, try as I might, I can't bring myself to care even one iota about Soccer. Ooooooh a 0-0 draw. Its like watching Lennox Lewis vs. The New Jersey Devils.

Well i wasn't talking about the game itself more like the background behind it! Just like there's a long backgroud behind basketball as well....

Watching. Man, I guarantee we bust their ass in Philly on Sunday.

If the Leafs aren't careful we could have a Basketball town.

I really hope we can pull it off in Philly!
Honestly I have no idea how it will go, after we beat their ass over there before and they schooled us in Toronto.
But I will always hope!

I have faith in the Purple Haze. I think we can win if Vince steps it up, can't if he doesn't.

Agreed....let's just sit back and wait for the fireworks!
I have faith in Vince...especially after the Knicks series where he really came out on his own after everyone was shittin on him and saying how he wasn't a big game player...I always knew he had it!

You know what makes me cranky? After watching Game 5 from my seat inside of the FU Center in Philly on Wed. night, I bought tickets for the next home playoff game immediately following, expecting it to be for game 1 of the next series against either Charlotte, or Milwaukee. But NOOOOOOOOO...instead, I will be in the house for game 7 of Philadelphia and Toronto on Sunday. But then hey...how often do you get the opportunity to watch the team you've rooted for since childhood in a decisive game 7 situation, and actually be there, in the building???

And you get even fewer chances to see them get schooled by the Fast Breakin-est, Dunkin-est, best rebounding team.

The Sixers will be deep sixed. Whooooooo! Go Raps!

Hmmmmmmmm...I don't think so. Unfortunately, the team feeds off the fans here. We were flat in game one. You got to steal it. Won't be flat on Sunday. Plus, Vince doesn't have the heart yet. He isn't there mentally. For Torontoto win, he needs to be there when his team is down, not just when it is up. Vince is only there to accept accolades, and praise...rarely, if ever have I heard him be a man and admidt he needs to be the superstar. You guys might have gotten one tonight, but like I have always stated...Toronto is a hockey town...Philly is a basketball town. It will remain that way on Sunday, when the Sixers win. I predicet a 96-89 Sixers win. Iverson with 40, and Carter with 33. We'll check to see how close I am on Sunday, when I return with no voice from cheering my Sixers into the Conference Finals.

The "AC isn't a big game" thing player is exactly what they said before game 5 of the Quarters. Raps over sixers 102-94
Vince knocks down 37, AI picks up 40.

Oh while the T-Dot is indeed a Hockey town, Philly is just a city of poor fans. Booing Santa and Donovan McNabb? Toronto is a great sports city. Remember Mitch Williams???

Didn't those nine three's convince you? Vince is the man and he knows he's the superstar! You better watch out!

He's right though. Vince doesn't talk about the things he needs to do. He just does'em

It's true that Vince doesn't talk, but then that's the type of guy he is. Like when T-Mac left he was tight lipped about it. When Oak criticised him he just clammed up and then exploded on the floor.

It's just the way Air Canada is. And frankly, he's so damn good I don't really care :)

He also may be the least selfish of all the Superstars. If he threw the ball up the way Iverson did he'd score 40 a night.

There are two guys in the NBA I'd take over Vince. Duncan and Garnett. No one else.

That's a hell yeh!

Duncan is a badass? Watch out my fellow countryman Wang Zhi Zhi is gonna be kickin major league ass next yr :)

Nah i'm jus kiddin! I dunno about Garnett though...he's good but I ain't convinced.

Admittedly the call between Garnett and Carter wouldn't be easy but I'll take the Rebounding and Inside presence over the jump shot.
