I dunno man. Garnett still doesn't have the explosiveness of Carter. How often does KG pop off 40 or 50 like it was child's play? More consistency but i'd still take VC...KG still has to take his team somewhere.

It isn't KG's fault that they've surrounded him with nobodies and Bozo's. He may not put up 40 or Fifty but 24 a night with double figure in boards?

He can guard all 5 positions and is as much a team leader as anyone in the league.

Hmmm....well it's food for thought anyway :)

Actually I'm still not sold on Iverson as well.....I know he's a great scorer and so on but I'm sure he's got the lowest FG% ever for an MVP!

I take that back...sorry got my numbers confused *smack*

To be even more controversial I dun think T-Mac deserves Most improved player!

AI is one of those odd guys who is a great player because of a great mix of ability and situation. He can make a team of role players into a contending team. He would not improve the Lakers. It all depends on how you define the MVP. If you define it as best player in the league than it should have gone to Shaq. If you define it as who does the most to help his team win it would be Duncan. If your definition is the guy who is most important to his team, It's the Answer in a walk. Without him the Sixers are the Clippers with better uniforms.

multiple apologies....

Ya know...what you said make me think....I was saying exactly the same thing a couple of years ago when I was lobbying for Jason Kidd to be MVP.

No need to apologize its just why I think CuJo should have won the Hart the last two years :)

Don't get the reference :)

The only American sport I keep really up to date in is basketball....I like the others but can't be bothered to keep in touch.

I essentially said: That's why I think Curtis Joseph(Who is the Maple Leafs' Goalie) should have been the NHL MVP the last few years.

Aaaaaaaah
I getcha :)

So what do you think about T-Mac then? Am i a naughty boy by thinking he doesn't deserve it?

Truth be told I think T-Mac could develop into a better player than Vince. I don't think he can be the leader that Vince is(Chalk that up to going straight to the Pros as opposed to 3 years of maturity building at North Carolina)
but he boards better and plays better D. Did he deserve it this year???? I suppose not but only because of what AI did. I'd vote for him over Vince on the strengths of their regular seasons.

I know a lot of people in TO hate T-mac but I only think he's chickenshit for not telling us the truth.

I got no respect for the guy for the way he left so ungracefully.....what he said was totally out of order.

I jus don't think he deserves it bcos he was that good anyways, it's just that Vince was getting the major mins in T.O. So i suppose it was good for him to move....but if he'd stayed he'd be in the conference finals and we would have wiped the floor with Philly. So there :p

In fairness to T-Mac, he proved this year that he made the right move for himself by leaving. Yes he would have been great to have for us but I don't mind.

I just wish he could have told Grunwald before the Trading deadline so we could get something for him. I just think that Orlando is the team to beat next year.

Ya think? Well they'll have to shift him or Hill to SG to make it work....but if it does they'll be unbeatable *shudder*

I hear that they'll go with

PG: Hill
SG:Miller
SF: McGrady

Which would be as dynamite a back 3 as this league could hope to see.

Can't wait to see Grant handle the ball

Sheeeet...
That could be as good at the Golden State trio back in the days...let's hope they break up too :D

With Hill and T-Mac locked up for the next 6 years???? Lets just hope T-Mac breaks something :)

Though, they look real unimpressive upfront. But then, So does the whole eastern conference.

If the Knicks land Webber they'll my call. If not than I like the Magic to get beaten in the finals. :D

We should get him :)
Seriously, whoever Webber goes to are gonna be big next year. But will he go to a winner or another team like Sac?

I hear that Houston and NY are the two biggest contenders. I would have to put my money on the Knicks. The real question will be where the second tier guys go.

Both teams would be mightily improved with C-Webb...although I think NY probably because then there would be less competition. Is everyone leaving Sac or something?

I think Houston is a better situation for him. He'd play on a starting five with

PG:Steve Francis
SG: Mobeley
SF: So help me god I don't know who they use at SF
PF: Maurice Taylor
C: C-Webb

The only incentive I can see in going to NY is money and the chance to get out of the West.

At NY he'd have Spree and Houston at SG and SF.
That leaves Mark Jackson at PG and I have no idea who plays centre....

Still pretty good though!

He would play Center and Camby would play PF. They're good no doubt but they're all established with their own All-star egos. C-Webb would go to Houston and be a leader.
