Everyone knows Darth Vader was probably the best on-screen villian but there are plenty of others that got to chew the scenery pretty good.

One of my personal favorites was Clarence Bodicker from Robocop. The best scene: Him walking into that guy's house while he's getting it on with two hookers and saying, "Bitches leave!"

I also liked Hans Gruber from the first Die Hard. A no nonsense kind of guy!

Who else can think of some more?

Michael Wincott as Top Dollar in "The Crow" was excellent.

So was John Malkovich as Cyrus the Virus in "Con Air.

He's pretty funny in That 70's Show as the Red Foreman (the Dad). I always think of Robocop whenever I see him.

Others:

John Malkovich in In The Line of Fire

Lee Van Cleef in The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Most of the villains in the Adam West Batman TV series

I always loved the female villan from Rush Hour 2 played by Zhang Ziyi.

If only all villans looked so damn sexy!

Kevin Spacey has done double duty:

John Doe in Se7en

Keyser Soze in The Usual Suspects

How can I forget any of the agents in The Matrix?? Especialy Agent Smith played by Hugo Weaving.

I can't wait for "The Matrix Reloaded" .. only 11 more months!!

I loved Hugo Weaving as Agent Smith. Unfortunately when he played the High Elf in Lord of the Rings, I kept expecting him to grab Frodo and say "I'm going to enjoy killing you Mr. Baggins."

Hanibal Lecter! But that one is a given.

I thought that Thaid played by Tim Roth in the new Planet of The Apes was pretty darn evil too.

The main Charcter in American Psycho was pretty cool too. He makes me want to have sex to Phil Collins!!!

Tommy Lee Jones in Under Siege. He single-handedly redeemed a Steven Seagal film, which I would have thought impossible had I not seen it.

Brad Pitt as Early Grayce in Kalifornia.

This was the first movie I ever saw him in. One of the scariest psychos ever.

lol, Yeah him and Carrie Ann Moss are the two who I can't see as anything but Agent Smith and Trinity even outside of The Matrix

But reading the fan sites a few days ago... Trinity may be an agent?! In terms of "heel turns" that would be huge and make her the greatest villan ever hands down.

The Kurgan in Highlander... just a big bad ass.

and I likes Kaizer Solzay in the Usual Suspects.... once you figure it out.

Well if you go into horror films you have:

Jason
Michael Meyers and
Freddy

Not the best anymore... but initially they were great.

I can't see how they could pull that off, as she's also outside the Matrix. Now maybe a Trinity look-a-like agent... that I could see.

Remember though that the agents as well have to plug in.. It's possible to have Trinity as an agent with a few plot twists, but if it were to happen then alot of stuff said and done by her in the first movie would make her a class A con artist.

LOL! My SO and I watched Lord of the Rings together and we were joking that we kept expecting him to say, "Mister Anderson..."

Sir Ian McKellen as Magneto in X-Men
The Borg Queen in Star Trek First Contact
The T-1000 Liquid Metal Terminator in Terminator 2

Gee can't tell that I'm a Sci-Fi nut from these can you...lol

"KAAAAHN!!!!!!!"

Shit! How could I forget one of the best villians of all time! This guy belongs on the top of the list!

I don't recall his name but the villian in John Woo's Hard Boiled was pretty insidious.

He was an arms dealer who slaughtered his competition, created a weapons cache in the basement of a hospital, proceeded to kill quadripeligics, blind people, sick kids and other patients when the cops found his underground hospital stash, set bombs in the hospital maternity ward, killed his own goons, etc. etc.

Robert DiNiro has always played a great pahtological mad man.. But personaly my favorie role he has done was of Gil Renard in "The Fan"

Joe Pesci was outstanding as Tommy Devito in Goodfellas but then he outdid himself as Nicky Santoro in Casino.
