Skins won. :D

My short week starts. I have three days at the shop. I have four days at the pizza place. At the moment, Saturday has no work.

I hope everyone has a good Monday.

good morning Azul.

i like Mondays (there i said it)
i hate is having to work really early.

Good Morning Azu and "Everybody":kiss::rose:
no short Workweek here:( but I do hope all of you enjoy yours:)

Ok it was in the low 40s here last night. This whole now no heat thing it worse then the no AC thing. I refuse to sleep with the space heater or oven on cause I've seen too many fires. Waking up dead isn't an option!! Just a little over 1 more week and I'll be in the new place with windows that close, insulation, heat and AC. I'm not sure how I'll handle that.

2 cranberry coffee cakes in the oven to warm up this place today. Looks like my PCP's office and the PTs get to party early. Fun later tho for me. Today is pick up the hams and pies for the Fire Station for the first responder dinner Thursday.

And I dont mind Mondays. It's a clean sheet thing... A chance to get in a better week then the one before.

Good Morning Spacelings

I look at Monday the same way - it's a chance to start over and pull what order I can from the chaos.

I like being able to start the day with a cup of coffee and contemplation of the week to come. I carve just a bit of time out to create a sacred space and that always helps me in managing whatever particular form of madness starts the work week.

good evening Spacers.
Monday's are just that Monday's.. the beginning of the work week here. Today's was kinda easy. Review & printing reports - oil change for the truck - chiropractor - lunch - file reports - home - walk the puppy - meal replacement shake - walk the puppy - hang out here & fb - on line shopping. Almost packed for the last days of the week at my daughters. about 30 minutes to bed time.

Well its been a light jacket day and going into a medium weight coat night. I'm not complaining though because I really like this weather and after the heat and humidity of the past summer I love the change of pace.

Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching. It brings with it a mixed bag of memories but is still a good holiday. I hope everyone has something planned involving being with friends and family.

Good evening, everyone. Thanksgiving is bringing on a mixed overwhelming load of emotions for me. It'll be the first without my dad and my first as a divorcée. And it's a weird feeling. I had a bit of an anxiety attack today as everything hit me like a ton of bricks.

I totally understand that mixed bag stuff. I move next week and I'm still nervous about it. I've been here about half my life. I'll be here packing the rest of the week thru Monday with no plans beyond not hurting myself moving stuff. I'm trying to look at this as new year = new life.

Remember to breathe!

I don't know if I ever told you his before but its something I ran across in a training class and I agree with it. Time and distance help to put grief and sorrow into a more manageable perspective. I went through all the grief stages and just decided that was enough of that and put it behind me. I hope you can soon as well. Best regards and all that stuff...

Hope you got Family and Friends where you can spend Thanksgiving with ;)

Good morning all - a bright and beautiful Tuesday morning in this part of California. I hope everyone is having a good day (or at least good enough). I'm glad it's a short work week!

Morning Spacer's Wazzup? :) It's probably not as pretty outside here at the moment as Paul describes his Kali morning but its still pretty good. Weatherdudes are saying its partly cloudy and 48 degrees....I'm calling it heavily overcast with a damp chill. Curiously enough I actually like this type of weather for its variety

There's not much going on here, I've been playing around with DIY dehydrated soup and chili mixes for camping. Even after purchasing a dehydrator and vacuum sealer you come out ahead expense wise.

Between that and making cat food can stoves I've been having fun. My nieces, nephews, sisters and BIL's don't know it yet but they're getting self rescue (AKA as Get Home Bags GHB) car bags for Christmas.

If you folks haven't done so yet its pretty cheap and easy and if you've ever been stranded overnight before having one on hand will sure make you feel better.

I'm a huge believer in having a utility bag or two in my car. I actually have three separate bags - change of clothes, utility, and first aid/trauma.

didn't ever really think about that until I was up in ND for work. even though it was May my boss took me to town and had me buy a bag and we filled it with non perishable foods, flares, tp, water (which sometimes froze), a shovel, emergency blankets. I have always carried a flashlight and first aid kit. He had me add 2 change of clothes and an extra pair of snow boots and shoe spikes (for ice). I always had coverall's - hats and gloves in the car.
Never needed it, but felt safe with it there. Not sure what GA winter will be but need to get the bag out and replenish it for this winter. Thanks for the reminder!

Never had one down here in Florida. I normally have my event bags with a mix of stuff from cable ties and paper towels to first aid stuff and duct tape. There's usually towels, tarps and an extra coat or t shirts in the mix too with the flags on poles we use for funerals. I've used those to direct traffic around an accident once.

I really doesn't take that much Starry. Just do a search for Get Home Bags. What you need will fit in a small gym bag and not weigh more then eight or ten pounds. People have a tendency to try to take too much, that's why you have an essentials bag and a GHB. The GHB is the lifesaver, The essentials bag is the comforts bag for an unexpected overnight stay while traveling.

Good morning all.
I have a very busy Wednesday today.

I want to wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday in the States.

Stumbles in for coffee....
Safe travels and Happy Turkey Day to you all. :rose:

I'll be here still packing, feeding my squirrels and drinking coffee till you get back.

Good Morning Azu and Friends :rose:
Wishing you all a wonderful and enjoyable Thanksgiving :)

I think that's what my wing guy for the support team had me put in my truck a week or so go. He's a prepper and a couple weeks back he got cut at flag wave. We only had my paper towels cause he had the wrong car with him. It's about the size of a messenger bag with not just first aid stuff, dried food, and so many other things I can't remember in it. I put it in a wheel hub storage with my back up to shirt and the event hammer. He carries 3 bags in his work car.
