well, my nine hours became five.

Another location called to see if my store could send a driver and I said I'd go.
By the time I got there, a different driver showed that was scheduled, so I have the rest of the night off now.

I have the Seahawk game on now. I did get to listen to most of the Redskin game and they won!!!

I hope everyone else had a decent if not good Sunday.

Moonlight Magic outside tonight Spacer's go out and take it in because its a beautiful sight. Wow, I'd love to be camping on a lakeshore or up in the mountains with a moon like this!

If you haven't figured it out yet I love all phases of the moon cycle but particularly love a full moon like tonight's.

The moon is quite beautiful tonight. I am in rural Nebraska right now and the only source of light pollution is a cluster of four street lights. The clouds have cleared and it is a beautiful night. That vast sweep of stars is one of the things I tell people I miss living in the city. Here it is your constant companion. Simply gorgeous.

Azul and Shmily - I agree - unexpected time off is one of the wonderful gifts that our modern world sometimes surprises us with. I love it when it happens.

Shmily - here's to favorite positions!

Starry - LOL - yes, small craft have that effect. It's like riding in a helicopter - it looks really cool, but inside, well it's like being trapped inside a loud and smelly can being vigorously shaken by a vaguely irritated giant thats waiting for the pilots to make a mistake so it can hurl you to the ground and kill you.

Just swingin in to say the Supermoon was indeed beautiful tonight! I didn't use my flashlight on our walk. I think I could've even hiked any trail (without a lot of tree cover) tonight without a flashlight, so cool.

Hope you all had a great weekend! I went to Boulder, that's always a fun city. Luxie had the first day of her advanced training, we learned Halt (off-leash, but starting on a long lead). She's supposed to stop and not go any further if she's off leash with that command. Other than that, I just kept super busy I hardly had time to think.

Paul, I think the best view of the starry sky I've had was at a cabin in Yosemite. There was also a place in Utah that I think followed light pollution laws that was pretty nice. I don't look up at the sky much in Nebraska, but I do stay overnight there several times a year. Mostly along the highway in Fort Platte, Lincoln, or Omaha. It's just a place to sleep on the way to my parent's house.

I just wasted 3 hours waiting on a walk in appointment at LabCorp for getting my blood work done. The hold up??? Only 2 employees bothered to showed up to work today at 6 am. They called the Supervisor who didn't care enough to shift anyone to help them & also didn't show up himself to help. I sat in there & posted a complaint on their website, their facebook wall & even made an appointment for 11:45 today. They finally got me in at 11:20 & the other 6 people who had been waiting that long were going in around me as well. BUT there were 3 little old ladies who almost passed out from fasting & waiting that long for their turn. isn't that a risk mgt issue?? The staff will not be getting breaks or lunch today which isn't legal. Apparently this Supervisor lets this happen a lot. So I called it into Humana cause 3 hours is excessive & I pointed out the bad treatment on not just the patients waiting that long but the illegal treatment of the staff as well. AND I included the Supervisor's name & phone number in the Humana complaint.

enough people complain & the EEOC hears about this & they could be closed or fined heavily.

The most surreal thing about the super moon is not the moon itself, it's what it lights up below. I really had a moon shadow following my dog and I last night. I have seen more amazing moons, like harvest moons that are huge and orange, but nothing that light up the world below like that.

From someone who spends over 75% of her nights outside, it felt pretty magical.

Spent the day at the mall and IKEA and planning out some house remodeling. This spring I'll have a new yoga and weight room. I won't have a dedicated workout room, because I'm ok with the area that my cardio equipment is, it's in front of a big screen tv, haha. But on the other side of this huge room is where I'd like a room for lifting and stretching.

Also bought more bookshelves and stuff to hold more board games.

It was 73F and sunny today, it's almost like summer still!

Hi Spacelings

That moon was pretty amazing last night. Tonight we've got a high haze of clouds and a bit of a biting wind, so its definitely not as pleasant a night for moon watching. Though, it is still pretty.

Tiamo - Yosemite is a beautiful place, that's for sure. I have some very fond memories from there and on those occasions I drive across the country I often make it a point to swing up there for a couple of days. Sydney is right off the interstate next to North Platte - a small and pleasant town. I am in southern SD now, came up here to spend a day or two with an uncle and his family, and then on farther into SD to visit a brother. Having grown up here I am biased, but the great plains are some beautiful country. After seeing my brother I will swing back down and spent the last two days in the Sandhills of Nebraska with family, then back to beautiful California. It looks like snow is going to catch me on my last two days here.

Starry - yes, those things irritate me. I always tell people you must provide constant feedback to your healthcare providers (and to any providers) otherwise they never know what's wrong or how much it is pissing people off.

I hope everyone is having a pleasant evening and tonight I am appreciating a bit of technology. I can stream the contents of my DVR to my iPad pretty much anywhere there is a fairly decent internet connection. Did you every just stop and be amazed by some of the wonders of modern technology? Pretty awesome stuff for making a big old world so much smaller.
