Morning Spacer's 'n Lurkers .Oreo is currently at the vet's office waiting to be spayed, declawed and micro-chipped. She was somewhat stressed his weekend knowing something was in the works, pets are very intuitive to he owners emotions on such matters.

So she's had no food sine 8PM or water since 6AM and let the vet tech holding her while being tranquilized know she didn't like it. She scratched her hand, I warned them she didn't like shots or rectal thermometers. The vet and techs told me she's 100% normal cat and not to worry about it.

Anyway, I picked up a bag of pelletized paper cat litter for when she gets home tomorrow, She'll have to use that for a couple of weeks. Man, this house is empty right now.

Look's like its been a slow day here today. I just finished mowing and trimming my yard....and mulching leaves while I was at it. I've got lots of trees so you know how that'll be through October.
The vets office called earlier to inform me Oreo did well during her procedure and was recovering in an incubator. Its pretty obvious he vet techs love her, even the one she scratched today. Traitor cat... I'll pick her up in the morning to bring her home. Then she gets to take antibiotics and pain meds...and be pampered a bit.

Meanwhile...after an 8 hour work day followed by four hours of honey do list, I am finally showered and home.

Well Oreo's back home from the vet's office and acting like nothing happened. She was actually glad to see me and never made a peep once in the truck to return home. At home she's been her normal bouncy, frenetic self. The entire procedure(s) were far less expensive then I'd feared.

been enjoying the Texas mornings from the back porch and the evenings at the same spot. love being home - but it may be short lived. Got a call about a possible job in FL. woo hoo - Florida in the winter! nice.

You'd think that after being spayed and declawed a kitten would just want to lay around and take I easy. Yeah, you'd think...the above pic was hours after returning home where she exhausted herself running around.
