Morning guys
After the PT girl kicked my butt, then the older Veterans wives lined up to kick me.
They were all pissed off they can't take the Honor Flight with their husbands.
I almost asked one lady if she also had been on the military missions with her husband when he was in the service.
I'm pretty sure she will call my boss to complain.
Cause I was mean and will not let her go.

Man those Korean War veteran wives get rude when you tell them no. The one lady I think will call and complain I told her no during the interview with her husband. She keeps insisting it say she can go in his confirmation letter and I told her 3 times today you had better reread that because it doesn't say that at all. The other one did the same thing but made her husband call & ask me again if she could go. My boss & I are thinking they know each other (they are from neighboring small towns) and that no one EVER tells them no... Till me.
it was a more productive day then me getting beat up. I managed laundry and picking up / dropping off enough coffee to set up the next couple events for my local Coffee with a Cop I help with... and grabbed a last big watermelon for the season to eat this weekend.
I'm officially worn out
It's not taken much this summer after surgery to wear me out.

Most of the older veterans are great. As we transition from WWII to Korea the more entitled the spouses seem to think they are. I did ask one who was REALLY ugly in my face... So you were on his military missions with him??? Well that makes you a veteran then. Fill out your veteran application and make sure to include the years you served as well as the theaters / locations then maybe he'll want to go with you on your trip. I didn't get one more word or sound out of her.

Good morning all. I hope everybody is sliding into a good Friday eager anticipation of the weekend. We've got a spot of rain coming in here in California so it should be a beautiful lazy day even though my plan is to spend most of the day catching up with work email.

It feels like Saturday here for some reason. I'm continuing to dig, sort and pack. I dug out the portfolios area and found my old wooden sign I carved for my Ren Fest booth a million years ago... And OMG it's freakin heavy, my old airbrush tank. I've got to get that to the dive shop so they can scrap it for me. Now I've got to rest cause I can't move after that pulling the tank out.

Guess that's not a bad thing. So how you all doing?!
It's hitting almost 80 here today. I haven't gotten out of my pajamas or eaten breakfast yet, but I was doing something productive until very late last night (or early this morning), so that's my excuse today! Normally I have no valid excuse for sleeping in.
Luxie is so unbelievably soft, silky, and cuddly today, I just took her to the groomer and had them do all the extras. Apparently she "did her best but she thinks everything is a toy".
I think it's time to share pictures of our pets soon again!
Guess that's not a bad thing.

It's hard to believe its eighty degrees outside at your place today and your still inside. It's rainy and 64 degrees here. Glad to here Luxie is settling in and doing well.

So, there I was writing this brilliant little note – and the power went out. We're sitting here in this part of California with the promise of rain but no actual rain yet. It was a semi-productive workday but it's wrapped up now.
Starry - some years ago I went through a giant purge of stuff. I found some stuff that brought back great memories. I found some stuff I forgot I owned. And I found some things but I have no recollection of ever owning. The coolest was a set of metal plating tools and equipment. I have no idea where that one came from.
Tiamo - good to see you, even if it's just a drive-by.
