sooo...what happens to dead buzzards?

there's been a buzzard lying beside the road here for several days. should be just right for a buzzard meal by now but none have shown up. do they have, like a rule about eating other buzzards or what?

and another thing, if a mother buzzard catches her kids chompin' down on something that's only been dead for about five minutes does she bitch 'em out 'cause it's not ready yet?
