Thanking you kindly. It seems bad luck keeps following me around lately, almost ended up in hospital last night due to an entirely unrelated matter. I think I might just wear a tin hat and stick to the bunkers until life passes me by, some higher power has it in for me! :p

And I LOVE lego, I grew up on those wondrous colourful blocks. And yes, I confess to owning the Lego Movie! If I could actually discard the shame I would walk into the nearest Toys R Us and buy a load!

Tell you what I will do, if I can find a rabbit and a few meters of baco foil I will reenact that very picture! As decidedly weird as it is. Actually, thinking on it, there is one of me holding a large bunny but instead of wearing a tin...err...foil hat, I am wearing a cowboy hat. True story.

And yes, definitely one of the best lines of the movie. Though there are many good lines to choose from. And I am also going to pretend I am too grown up and sophisticated to attend the sequel when it premiers. Ahem.
 
Around these parts it's difficult to find a set of legos that's not a themed design of some kind. It looks like you can still buy buckets online, but I haven't seen one in a retail store in a while. The kits are neat, but don't inspire much in the way of creativity. I should dig out my old erector set :)

To be honest, ed, this started out as a one-off and it's somewhat accidental that a follow-up chapter is in the works.

never discount the power of implied direction in prepositions: it might be a lower power, after all--in which case, i say fuck 'em! :D

ditto: in fact, my wedding present to my wife was a lego castle kit. :> as for shame--that's for adolescents. i say fuck shame, sir.

Colleges ahoy!
This is the stack of college flyers Babyminx got yesterday. It will get thrown on top of the rest of them in her room until it can be sorted into the 'I want to research this one' or the 'oh hell no' piles. We are going to be visiting quite a few this summer I think, as a lot of them include offers to come and stay and check them out.

I have not given in to the temptation to hide the ones that are super far away. She is only a jr, so I have a whole other year to gird my loins for her leaving, but man oh man, do I get a flutter in my heart every time I look at that pile.

And with all the trees that have given their lives for all these flyers, I keep expecting the Lorax to show up. Maybe I can just adopt him. We could boogie down.
