You infer a lot from my post based solely upon your biases.

Giving an example of what worked for me does not in any way signify that others methods are inappropriate or doomed to fail. Sharing the context of my success does not negate the efforts of others, regardless of how you may want to believe so.
My comment is hopefully an example for those who have pending stories awaiting approval.

Patience and respectful communications served me well here, as it frequently does with life in general.
I’m not here to defend awkwardly set for what seems to be a new more aggressive and hostile approach to those who could be deemed Lit defenders. Let defenders defend, let critics criticize. Gentle callouts yes, open hostility no.

At the same time, cmon. The last paragraph of your first post (they’re in reverse order) was downright preachy and lectury and smug.

And you labeled your post as an example for others. So you’re saying others need an example, your example, to follow. That sure sounds like negating efforts and signifying that other efforts are inappropriate.

Given the adjustments in later posts, maybe you didn’t MEAN to say these things. But you did.

You're right, on all accounts.

Sometimes, I allow myself these knee-jerk reactions to smug posts aimed at defending the site, posts that are often derisive towards other people. I guess they see it as colateral damage.

Sometimes, the aggression in my posts is justified as this kind of attitude is omnipresent in the AH. Just look at the number of likes on his post. Many people here feel they are genuinely special.

But sometimes, it's too much, yeah. That's on me.

But regardless of my perhaps too strong reaction, the tone and meaning of his post are obvious. We are all authors here, and there's little that gets said here that isn't actually meant.

No, you're saying that. I never did.

Advising people to be patient and respectful would typically only seem "preachy" to those who weren't. Perspectives influencing comprehensions is common in these threads.
That's first-rate BS-ing right there. You should be a politician. Maybe you already are? Good choice, in that case.
