It really pisses me off when someone calls me a racist because I am right wing.

As it should. I hate to be put in a box but I'm probably more lib than conservative. I hate to be thought of as someone who wants to reward able bodied deadbeats who collect welfare. Having had life experiences that I think many of you have not had I know the difference between those who leech of the entrepreneurs and the workers and those who are the minority working poor fighting for upward mobility.

I'll give you a handshake for fighting the good fight, but don't cry to us about it, change up the perception of your party's majority from the inside. Because as you can see from this board alone, many right wing assholes who happen to be white do not give a fuck about throwing people of color under a bus in order to make a point, much less trying to understand their point of view or even showing some basic fucking courtesy.

I'm not crying. I am trying to change things in real life. On this board I was trying to humanize some of the right wing. I won't troll the assholes on the board because there are too many of them and I don't think they have any desire to listen. If I do want to talk to them I usually PM them so they feel more comfortable speaking in private.

it's a shame that what should, essentially, be a disagreement over economics, benefits & services should be reduced to racism and racist accusations.
i s'pose it's because racists assume all coloureds are sponging of the state and/or trying to get an unfair advantage, and the right (right or wrong) believes in forcing people to look after themselves and their own.
but just because a party attracts more racists, doesn't mean all those who believe in those ideals are racist.
