Some Good Shit Happened to Me.

Upward Pay Adjustment.

The really good part is that because it's an 'adjustment' it's not counted against me for Promotion or Raise purposes, but does count in the calculation of my bonus.

My daughter had fun in summer school.

Her car doesn't need repair.

The contract got renewed again so my income remains secure.

I'll weigh in again tomorrow after the wisdom teeth come out.

And now I have to go to the first semester awards ceremony next week.

My brother and I stopped at Swiss Chalet today, but it was full so we just went into a restaurant we'd never been to before and the food was amazing. Even the vegetables tasted like Heavenly.

Got a good hotel room for a booked-up convention in a good spot at convention rates (not the exorbitant regular rates we feared we'd have to pay) not a week before convention!

This, to me, isn't merely "good" shit, it's "amazing" shit and I am soooo happy! (and relieved!).

Also "ate" a book. I love it when I find a book so good I read it late into the night, just eating it up.

Ex husband just sent $2000.00 to me via Paypal.

I wasn't expecting it at all, haven't heard from him in months, and before that I didn't particularly care about or expect any child support (which was based upon my experience). It's very well timed on my side of things.

It stayed dry today so my daughter and her class had a fantastic time on their rip to the park, considering there is some major nasty weather round these parts, that is quite miraculous!

I've discovered, thanks to the helpful advice of fellow Lit posters, that I can eat goat cheese and sheep cheese without any of the painful effects of cows' milk. Hurrah!

Kitty's teeth are doing better as well. And it looks like we might finally have a contractor lined up for the yard work. Phew.

Things are tough right now but I still have a lot to be grateful for... Good things are outweighing the bad and I'm counting my blessings hourly.
I got a smallish royalties check when I needed money the most.
My mother may nag me, but she's really been a friend when I need her lately... I'm lucky to have her for my mom.

I finally got the damn bar codes to print properly with an "M" added as the first character on both individual labels and batch labels. Woke up at 4:20AM fretting about that. Got some clues from another site & spent all day making it play nice with other data.

Picked up a new bag for work. (Do you know how hard it is to find a good, cheap Messenger Bag?)

Sent out my watch for repairs.

Put in my Bracelet to get it fixed.

Fixed my Patio Door.

My A/C is still working correctly. The Trailer didn't get above 80 degrees today.

Got a picture of one of my cats sprawled out on the top of a door. (Unfortunately I got the picture with my phone and not my Digital Camera so I can't post it here.)

- This morning, I threw away the gross green beans my grandmother forced on me as I left her house (technically I suppose I made that good shit happen, but I'm still counting it).
