Capitalims is good. Markets are good. Markets however often times need a little regulation because of the problems they can create. Monopolies, corruption, vast gaps between rich and poor being some of these examples.

Capitalism, along with industrilization, does help create the middle class and the middle class is damn near a requirment for a sucessful democracy.

i honestly think the first time i ever read the words "evil capitalist pig" on lit was when i read your post just a few seconds ago

i happen to be a capitalist...it's proven to be a far superior economic system than anything else that's been tried...of course, like anything else it's open to misuse driven by corruption and greed, but overall i like it just fine

I'm a Social Anarchist, I mean it's an extreme opposite of Capitalism, but you'd never hear these words from my mouth. Well, not seriously anyway. I really don't feel like explaining why Capitalism is the evil that it is but if you run a search on Anarchy I'm sure you'll find thousand of threads where I have before. Ok so only like three, but that's all I need.

I never noticed that Todd-o, Azwed is correct about the middle class comment. Is capitalism fair? Nope. But at least you have the mechanisms in place to succeed.
