There's plenty of full-on Neo-Nazis who hate Trump for his Zionism and for letting his children marry Jews, and for his support of the vaccines and the bump-stock ban. They also never forgave him for never actually getting that wall built. In fact, I think that most of the really, really, really tiki-torch marching far-right hates Trump.

There are others who hate him for his waffling of aid to the Zelensky regime (irony). The Azov Battalion and other bands of Ukrainian Nazis have repeatedly threatened to kill him.

Be funny if the shooter turns out to be a Ukrop.

He is just the patsy. This was staged by the Trump campaign. Biden was getting all the media attention so they came up with a plan to get Trump back in the news.

My full legal name looks a lot like that and my family hasn't been explicitly religious since the 1950's.

Shootings of humans by other humans are so common that motives have almost become irrelevant.

Trump is simply another victim of pervasive gun violence in an obsessive gun culture.

Trump is a "victim" of his own initiation, direction, and fomenting over the last half century of political violence. I don't condone it, but political violence and assassination of political figures are woven tightly in the fabric of the United States. I doubt Trump saw this coming, but only because he's woefully uneducated in American history (or much of anything else). Trump is a victim of it primarily because Trump initiates and uses it. He's nearly the last one I have sympathy for when he harvests what he sows.

He also shares with other Republicans the fact that a civilian is permitted access to an assault rifle. That's on him and other Republicans.

Trump should go to prison. Trump should not be president. Trump is a shitty human being.

Trump did not ask to be assassinated. This is the dumbest fucking take in an incredibly stupid thread. This is the "well if he didn't want to be assassinated he shouldn't have dressed like that" victim shaming bullshit that you'd howl about if someone who disagreed with you said it. Be better.
