I was just opening the floor to the topic. I was not making an opinion one way or the other.

I personally think that if a partner s not good enough to want to spend you life with then make damn sure you are not making a baby with them. It's not highly probable they will be a good parent either. A lot of that goes back to self worth and how so many in our society have little or none and settle for anyone who pays attention to them and makes them feel nice.
Now that problem I think can be fixed by community programs that instill self confidence and discuss how to pick a mate. It should be a parents job, but obviously not enough of them are doing it these days.

We are working on this components. There are tons of others, but you have to start somewhere, right! If we just say oh that'snot the whole picture then we work on nothing and get no where. I am looking for a solution. So we start where we can and build from there.

But seriously, I remember being a kid and all the neighborhood parents watched out for all the kids. If I were hungry, I could have my lunch at my choice of houses (growing up without so much money, a certain neighbor was always my stop because they had cold cuts hahaha)

But it's not like that anymore. Wish I could contribute on this topic. I minored in sociology but never really got a good sense on this specific area.

Well I am sure as you reflect on it something will come to you. It was like that when I was a child to. All the ones that had issues with my families race moved and way and the ones that stayed treated me like their own kid. It was lovely to grow up that way!
