Unfortunately'race'is, has been and always will be,a political movement...travon Martin...Ferguson..etc..is government lead...if travon had been white our if the officer in Ferguson had been black we wouldn't even know about these incidents. I read an article in the paper today, TWELVE YEAR OLD BOY FATALLY SHOT' a twelve year old had removed the orange tip off the end off his airsoft gun. He was shot by an officer standing 10' away...it was a one paragraph blurb...nothing else...if the kid had been black..he'd be the next travon...

That's why I'm against that Martin kid image ( you don't know how many verbal and fist fights I had because of this) I tell people all the time, if it was a black man that shot him, we wouldn't even know his name. And then they had the nerve to have a rally, in my city over the little fucker. When young black kids get murder here everyday. And no one protest for them. To me that's just saying , it's ok for blacks to kill blacks. But once a different race do it, it's war. And thats something I can't stand behind. So fuck Trayvon Martin

There are pockets of violence. Smooth lives in one. They are predominantly black. I would prefer that not be true, but it is. The levels of violence are unrivaled anywhere in the world outside of an actual war-zone.

I exclude Mexico, because it is a failed Narco-Terrorist State, essentially. Other places in the world flare up in similar fashion I count those as war zones. It is more than poverty.

So what else is it? Poverty definitely has a historical context of race, though. But poverty has been around since civilization. So it could just be the circle of life and there is no definitive answer for the socioeconomic inequality, and therefore, no actual solution. People just have to accept that there will be those who don't have as much. It's about their response to the situation. But to say that blacks are the ones who exclusively resort to crime is laughable. Am I the only one bothered by that statement?

No violence is down because violent offenders are staying statistically longer than they did when violence was higher. Only difference.

Oh wait there is another thing. Gun ownership is up.

Areas that eased restrictions on lawful gun ownership saw a drop in crime specific to their area as well.

I won't argue that incarceration ( it's harder to be a repeat offender in prison) and gun ownership have an effect on crime ( gun ownership is higher in rural areas, violent crime seems to be less. ).

We have already been over this. Race is not a factor for crime as much as poverty is. Poverty pockets through out the world not just the us have these issues. It's not a Black, White or Hispanic thing. It's a human issue.

I am asking for solutions. We know there is a problem. Lets start talking about how to fix it???

Sometimes Smoove makes a hell of a lot of sense. This was one of them. It says nothing about his character that he has enough sense to realize Trayvon Martin got himself shot and killed. For America, it's black and Hispanic. But poverty is a global issue that expands passed the black and Hispanic races, as large as they are. It's a humanity issue, and the general issue needs to be deduced to find a general resolution, since the Miss girl posting here keeps asking for one.
