Snow questions

Once again I am shoveling snow (6") from my driveway and it made me think of three questions.

Am I the only idiot left that uses a hand shovel and does not have a snow blower(no pun) or plow? What do you use assuming your location gets snow?

Also, who cleans off the snow from your property? I have noticed that in a man/woman household the man always appears to be the one doing the snow work. What happened to equality? Or is that used only when it's needed;)

Finally, is it just me or do women look sexier in a pair of jeans and a winter sweater/jacket outside on a snow day (sledding/skiing etc.) than a normal day?

Ain't nothing sexier than a woman in Red and White stripe Leg Warmers over their tight ass jeans.WOW!

And yes I still use a shovel, but my ol'lady does come out and help.Mainly just for morel support, and to throw a few snowballs at me.

Your six inches is a ten year supply of snow for Las Vegas. On the very rare occasions that I need to remove snow, I use a push broom.

Live in a condo and pay someone else to come clean your drive and your walk. Works great!

blow jobs?

I am a female and I clean my own driveway. With a shovel. Not sure but I think there is an ordinance here that prohibits use of snow blowers- at least during certain hours.

Since I do mine early in the am before I leave for work, I would imagine that restriction would apply to me.

It is a pain. I hate it. Really hated it yesterday when the weathermen predicted a'dusting' and we ended up with 4 inches. I had to shovel twice. My least favorite chore around the house.

Well...he shovels the snow, but I am the champion leaf raker, and I'd say that raking a whole yard of leaves is MUCH more work than shoveling off our tiny front walkway!

yes yes, what did happen to equality?? ;)

well considering i just came inside from shoveling i must say i look damn cute in my pink turtle neck tight jeans and black wool coat!

We got about 10 inches here......I also just came in ....I look cute in the company truck with the plow down....NO shoveling here.......too much like work......:D

Shovel, no way, that's why I own 4X4's. When the snow gets too bad, I have a friend with a plow who does my driveway. I can't invision myself shoveling my drive as it is about 5 cars wide and 4 cars deep...

I'm with Weird Harold

although my way of clearing snow is just to wait until it all melts. (smile)

I am a third generation native Floridian.. Snow? I think I remember one year when I was about twelve or so and the headlines were "Unusual Snow-Like Frost Coats the Yard on Christmas Morning".

ugh..snow

Well..i personally don't have to go out and shove snow or snowblow..(my lips would turn blue). I hate hate hate the snow. The only good thing about this "winter weather" is that me and my husband stay ican stay in bed and keep eachother warm. I definitely miss the Texas heat and humidity...I am SO!!!!!! ready for spring.....

Tony_Gam, I live outside of Cleveland, Ohio, and to answer your question about who shovels my driveway and sidewalk.....I DO!!! I have never owned a snow blower and never will. I also happen to mow the lawn and all of the other yardwork. And yes, to your question about looking sexier in jeans in the snow. I happen to look much better than my husband. I think it has to do with all of the work I do around the house. ha! We usually get quite a bit of snow, but it seems your area has been getting most of it lately. By the way, I'm originally from Cheese Steak Heaven and I really miss the area so much. Have a great rest of the day and go 76er's!!

Being in college as I am, there's only been one year in the past five where I've had to actually shovel snow. However, that was a thoroughly hellish experience--we had a largish driveway, cheap-ass plastic shovels, and were living in northern Wisconsin--so I think I've pretty much earned my apartment this year. As far as equality, I was living with two and a half other girls(technically three, but one was rarely there), so equality wasn't really a factor. If the driveway was getting done, it was getting done by a woman :). Of course, every once in a while my third roommate (the "half" roommate, that is) would return from wandering the Midwest and plow the drive with her bad-ass truck, so occasionally we got a break. All the same, I certainly don't miss the experience. This year, the maintenance guy shovels the walk to my building--not having to go out in the cold and abuse myself almost makes up for the pet roaches!

Anyway, my condolances to anyone suffering through shoveling this winter--I can't remember when it's been this bad before.

That's great! Wherabouts if you don't mind telling?

Well, I won't mind telling as long as you don't spread it all over Literotica. ha! I grew up in King of Prussia, which is next door to Valley Forge. I left there about 8 years ago to come to the Cleveland area. Every time we get back east, the first thing we eat is a cheese steak. There is nothing in the world that can compare to them. I think it has something to do with the rolls. Anyway, nice to meet you Tony_Gam, and too bad about the 76er's today losing in overtime. See ya.

Gawd. I am never going to argue with Panadolboy about taking out the garbage/feeding the cats again!!! Shovelling? Using machinery? Outside? Early in the morning? In the freezing cold? No way dot com. AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I'm with KSSS

My drive didn't get shoveled once this year. Of course it's gravel so shoveling it would remove not only the snow but my driveway.

I just engage the four-wheel drive and run back and forth a few times to make sure I have packed snow to walk in on my way to and from the truck.

When my hubby and I went back to New Mexico over the holidays, I walked my happy butt down to a neighbors to borrow a shovel. I shoveled from their driveway down two houses to get to my mother-in law's place, where I gave up in the driveway and had hubby finish it. Now who got the better end of that deal???

Theres snow business like snow business, theres snow business like snow business I know

Well, the appartment building I live in gets shovled every time it snows, and the guy has a little 4 wheeler with a plow on it for the parking lot. And at home, my dad has a plow, and the walk way is covered. Other than that, hey, I've got four wheel drive baby... bring it on!
