Snow Day!

What do you know about rush hour? Some yuppie in snow shoes suck in the cross walk slowing down traffic?
Heh. I moved here from the depths of NYC. The first half a decade or so, when people would bitch about rush hour traffic downtown, I'd laugh so hard I'd have tears running down my face. Now I I live in another, smaller city, and find myself avoiding downtown there (and bitching when I can't!)... My downtown is nowhere near as bad, thank goodness, since I work at the outskirts thereof and drive through it to get home.

Your downtown? No thanks, I'd rather stay on the beltway, tyvm.

It is time for me to go make secret scientific doodads.

See ya!
Have fun being all creative n shit, Petey!

Delegation is the key.

Ed Demming told me so.

Along with Ken Blanchard, Covey, and a whole other hosts of self proclaimed gurus.;)

Don't forget the "catch 'em doing something right" theories, and the one minute management theories, and the make everything you build replicate-able theories!

Oh wait, your wife is really gonna hate me now. Maybe cancel that last one?

She still has eyeball burn marks on her breasts from Trace the other night.

Ask him what color her eyes are?

:)

Hahahaha!!

I've been on the receiving end of that stare, many a time over the years, although not from Trace, sadly. Takes days and lotsa sunburn lotion to recover.

You really are a noble sort, to share her voluptuous beauty so generously!

Sweet! I'd not realized the lack of snow had gone so far westward....

I bey your kids were thrilled to have a snow day yesterday! (eta: I was watching the storm rolling through your area to get to mine on radar.)

btw, I love the new avatar. Sexy as hell. *nods*

Not just economic reasons... privacy and relative freedom come to mind as well. :(

By now we should have something like 70 inches of snowfall and we've gotten maybe 20. It's rather odd. But yes, we all had a blast!

And thank you. :rose:

Wow. That's pretty significant. Now I wonder how far down we are compared to norms.... Have you also been warmer than is typical? My heating bills have been almost delightful (note use of work almost) but it really has been odd.

Very much so, we have been outrageously warm. The biggest worry is that we haven't had rain either so all of our lakes and rivers are down, it's going to be a tough growing season if we start already in a drought. My heating bills have averaged about $20/month!! For 2200 sq feet in Minnesota, that's just crazy talk.

Well to be fair I do have a timer on my thermostat so it's much cooler in my house when I'm not there, but yes, that's where all my nylon money comes from.

We waited all day for a projected huge snowstorm that lasted 15 frigging minutes...piss me off

Snow?

Once in awhile, the sky spits flying slush at us.
Yesterday, the front steps needed neither shovel or broom.
The driveway did not need a scraping.

The snow melted.

A nice weekend for black ice?
