Size Matters

Cock size matters as much as vagina size matters.

Cock size matters as much as breast symmetry matters.

No one is perfect.
Everyone is subject to ridicule.

They all matter as much as someone makes them matter. Some people definitely like to make it matter.

As for everyone being subject to ridicule, that's definitely true.

I can honestly say that I have never experienced sex with a guy who seemed to have a notably small cock. The fact that I am drawn toward tall guys probably accounts for that.

My wife and I measured my cock this weekend using the string method after reading this thread. I’ve always thought I was very small but she’s always said how large I am.

Length- just under 5” erect. Like 4 15/16...
Circumference- 6” so larger around than long.

I guess we are both right.

Either way, it works for both of us!

I have known my measurements for a long time (and I think a lot of guys have, too). I'm kind of in the same ballpark as you, but smaller in both dimensions at 4.8 inches in length and a little over 5.5 inches in girth.

So, I have that same proportion that you have - being bigger around than I am long. One thing I've noticed is that the girth makes it look shorter (or stubby) by comparison, whereas if it wasn't quite as thick, I think it would look longer.

Also, if you look at two penises and one of them is longer, but thinner and the other one is shorter, but thicker, people would tend to say the longer one is "bigger," even though the shorter one might have more volume.

Personally I've always ALWAYS been a fan of thicker over longer.

I've been with guys who have been several inches shorter than me in height but OMG did they still bring it! And most of the time it was because they stretched more than they drilled me if you know what I mean! :D

Girth Rules! - get the t-shirt made and see how many new girls come up and offer to buy YOU a drink at the bar rather than the other way around (okay, to be honest it probably won't be that many, but I guarantee we'll point at you and whisper behind our back to our friends)

Agree 100%. Another poster said that with the proliferation of easy to find porn, it makes it seem that every guy is hugely hung.

Exactly. And no one wants to be caught naked with any of those people and it's a legitimate fear that we will be.

I think my wife would agree with you. She has a friend that is just about 6" but quite thick with a large head. She says he feels really filled and he seems to hit the good spots without even trying. I have watcher her have orgasms with him and she is not faking it.

O.k, I'm going to take one more shot at trying to make this point. Men and women walk around clothed. Unless a man has a bulge, we don't know what he has in his pants. Obviously, women can dress to hide large breasts or can pad their bra, but for the most part, breasts are right there to see.

A guy takes off his pants to have sex and she says, I'm not satisfied, you're too small.

A woman undresses, has sex with a guy and he says my last girlfriend had really big tits, not like yours. She can say, you knew before I got undressed that I didn't have big tits.

I get your point and it is valid but honestly there is a big difference in a woman not being sexually satisfied with a small cock and a man not being "satisfied" with small tits (or big ones, in some cases). It is not really a relevant or fair comparison. There are plenty of guys that prefer women with small tits. I would think there are far fewer women who PREFER men with small cocks (excluding women who are very sensitive and cannot enjoy a man who is even slightly above average in size and when the man's cock is so big that most women could not tolerate having it inside of them).

For women the size of the cock matters because it has everything to do with how she experiences the physical act of having sex with regard to penetration depth depending on the length, how much friction is created on her vagina walls and clit depending on it's girth, along with variations in how the cock is shaped and how she feels the cock inside her. I am sure women could add more to this but you get my point.

For men the size of a woman's breasts matters ONLY mentally, and has no direct physical affect on how much pleasure he gets from having sex. He might get more aroused by a woman who has bigger tits, or for some men, smaller tits. But that is all in his (big) head. How tight the woman's pussy is has far more affect on his pleasure (little head) than how big her tits are, (even accounting for the fact that men are far more visually stimulated than are women).

BTW, no guy would ever complain to a woman after sex about how small her tits are, unless he is a total jerk. And I doubt many women would actually say to a guy his cock was too small, other than to be cruel and humiliate him.

hey ...

This is the point I made:

Also, consider that aside from the bulge thing no one knows what a guy is packing until he drops his pants. Breast size is pretty evident even fully clothed.

How is that wrong?

To be more succinctly, you don't know what a guy is packing until he gets a full hardon. I know two guys I came up with off the street with, one was just under 4 inches long when flaccid and 8.5 when at the ready. The other one was shorter than 3 1/2 inches flaccid and 8x4.5 when fully engorged.

Something that can cause a teenage schoolboy to be ridiculed in the shower block if he's a proper grower. The bullies only see him at 2½" to 3", not his full 8¼".

Even later in life, superficial judgements are made on flaccid appearance.

My shirt could say, "Know who has a fat penis...? This guy!"

(maybe not fat, but proportionally fat, and pointing out that it's "short" may be a bit much for a shirt and might seem kind of weird)

You are spot on Liz! The first thing I ever knew about my future hubby was how he apparently had a huge cock. Office block gossip is as strong with the girls as it is with the guys, maybe even stronger (and definitely more descriptive ;) )

Agreed. Comparing breast size and penis size is like comparing apples to oranges.

As it is in your mind, about how comforting the 'truth' about any given subject should be and how that EVERYONE has the same level joy embracing this truth and give it the same weight as everyone else, I would also like to believe in-, but that ISN'T how people are and that was my only point in this whole discussion.

I also don't believe that ALL women, MOST women or any disproportionate amount of women BELIEVE that ALL bigger is better.

Only that it had been my experience that that is the way it was made to appear...well that and the fact people are prone to NOT telling the truth, especially in forums such as this one provided by this site.

How you view the fact that some women have a cock size preference or whether you find my take on it comforting is not for me to say. I also agree that some people - or at least women - are prone to not tell the truth either in this forum or real life.

All of that is why I say that denial is a problem for women. I don't expect others to see it the way I do. I am just saying that women shouldn't feel compelled to tell men what they want to hear.

I'm not sure that I completely understand your point. However, I will say that it's essential to a discussion such as this to not generalize. Also, consider that aside from the bulge thing no one knows what a guy is packing until he drops his pants. Breast size is pretty evident even fully clothed.

I agree that the reasons that some men prefer any given breast size are quite different from the reasons that some women prefer any given cock size. The common thread is that these are physical features for which some members of the opposite sex - in varying degrees and for varying reasons - do in fact have a preference. If it didn't matter we wouldn't have a preference.

It isn't my intent to generalize. I am not saying all members of the opposite sex. I am saying some members of the opposite sex. And I am saying it matters enough to enough of us to qualify as significant. But I am not imputing that on to each woman.

Respectfully the women (and some men) who try to tell men it doesn't matter at all are the ones who are generalizing. They are implying that it doesn't matter to any women when the only thing they are qualified to say is what matters to them personally or the people they have encountered (though most don't seem to allow for the fact that others often sugar coat their real feelings). I am not attributing my views to other women. I am just looking at what they say - be it on here or in actual scientific studies where women do in fact express preferences.

We should talk LOL

Well said! That's so true!

So you're saying that when guys have told me they don't care that I'm not exactly what anyone would ever call "busty" that maybe they weren't lying to me?

Wow.

Mind.

Blown.

LOL

(At least I know that my husband is NOT lying to me because he's never, ever told me that - but does that mean he jerks off to pictures of other women in the bathroom sometimes? wait, don't answer that )

That is exactly what I am telling you. Even if I am focussing solely on a woman's body I would say it is about the whole package. Not to say I don't appreciate a great rack - I do. But I am an ass and leg man and the way those curves come together as well as the hip to waist ratio is what gets most of my attention.

In that context I find the whole discussion a bit curious. As PW said, most of us have preferences when it comes to the physical attributes of our intimate partners. We can talk about how beauty is only skin deep and all of that stuff and we can all aspire to that, but reality is that preferences do exist. Why should cock size be the one mysterious body part about which somehow every woman in the world is supposed to be entirely neutral.

The way I see it is that when we also factor in none physical features it is pretty clear that none of us have it all (or at least very few of us). So you work with what you have and find the partner who wants what you offer. Trying to change people's preferences or judging them for having this preferences is pointless (and sometimes offensive).

I see no good reason aside from male insecurity to think of cock size any differently. If a woman is a size queen and you have an average cock then maybe you aren't a fit. She isn't wrong and you aren't less of a man. There is no reason to make more of it than that. To the extent that a guy does feel like less of a man because of that reality that is wholly his problem. Redefining or denigrating female sexual preferences is not the answer.

Thank you, for saying what I had been trying to say from the beginning and saying it all in the last paragraph.

I don't think there is any question that porn and popular culture present a distorted view of penis size. There is another study that show penis size by region (which highly correlates to culture and race). The areas that had the largest average penis size deviated from the worldwide by nearly 1.5". Not huge but not insignificant.

However note that the areas that had the smallest average penises were by far the most populated and therefore presumably have the largest impact on the results if they are truly representative results. So how relevant are world-wide results to North America?

The worldwide data in the study noted above indicates that only 1 in 666 cocks (or 0.15%) is over 7.5". A 2013 study published in the journal of sexual Medicine found that the average male penis length in the U.S. was 5.6" - nearly identical to the piece referenced above. But it also found that 15% of men were longer than 7" and 3% are over 8". Relatively rare but far more prevalent than the worldwide study.

I don't know what the correlation factor is between penis size and overall physical size. But anecdotally and logically it would seem to be fairly highly correlated. A quick Google search tells me that 10% of men in the U.S. are over 6'. That is even rarer than cocks over 7" in the U.S. But we all know guys over 6' don't we?

So what the data shows is that if I just pick 7 random guys in the U.S. chances are that one will have a cock longer than 7'. Meanwhile 1 in 33 will be over 8". And if height is a good marker of cock size - picking a guy over 6' would seem to be almost a lock to find a 7" cock. And at that height I probably have a 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 chance of finding an 8" cock.

Like I said at the beginning, porn and pop culture present a hugely distorted picture of cock size. The true monsters are rare. But while 7" or 8" is far from common they are not so rare as this study would have you believe at least not in the U.S. (I am from Canada but we have a similar demographic profile).

The data suggests that for a woman in North America who chooses men that have correlating physical features it isn't all that hard to find a 7" or 8" cock. That matches with my anecdotal experience. I've been with a lot of men. Easily 100 but nowhere near 666 and I have had plenty of cocks over 7.5". They aren't common but they aren't as rare as unicorns and hen's teeth either
