Yay! Good job, hon! :rose:

Hey, do any walkers here have a good GPS app for calculating miles walked? Is there such a thing?

Hi all! I was just browsing through this thread and thought I might be able to help on a question that was asked. I use a app called "sports tracker" when I run. This is the best GPS tracking app that I have used (and I've used a lot). The icon looks like a white silhouette with a man running, red swoosh under the feet and black background. Hope this helps!

Don't feel bad, I made that cake that PL1 posted a recipe for, on the 3 things thread! Well, actually, the boy made it, but I had some. It is actually a good one if you want some cake and don't want to feel guilty!

I didn't go to the gym today, but I walked the yard cutting the grass and pulled weeds. That totally counts! lol Esp since we are really starting to warm up here in the Hoosier state.

All you gym go-ers... I envy and admire your commitment. I have a hard time with the gym... going regularly... or, just going at all.
I weigh myself pretty regularly. I tend to fluctuate up and down between +7 and -7 pounds... sometimes within days...(?) I have often been heavy in my life... Don't wanna go there, again... (health-wise, comfort-wise, clothes-wise, but most importantly, to keep my injured knee from grinding up the little remaining cartilage left inside... aka pain-wise.) I feel better in my body when I'm not packing around extra weight.
I have nervous energy, or free-floating anxiety, it's been called (It seems more like a remnant of... the motion of being rocked as a baby, to me). I'm always moving something...my feet, my legs... in a rhythmic, rocking-type motion... You know, driving the people around me nuts, in other words .
Does that count? ;)

Movement improves mood... Indeed. Works for me. :)

I appreciate the input from ya-all... Thanks!

Yes, and, nobody is required to post anything, anywhere... Free country, supposedly.

Went on a 4 mile walk this morning...I am overwhelmed right now, so it was really quite beautiful for my mind...

Despite being emotional this week, I am eating very well and healthy...Tons of salads, steamed veggies, low glycemic fruits, and tons of water...and my protein shakes...

I am happy to say a week now off the Diet Cokes...yippee...:D

Good luck with the Diet Cokes BC! I'm happy to say I'm almost 9 months clean of the stuff. It's hard to go cold turkey, but hang in there!

Diet Coke has been my only real vice, or I should say addiction...Even my cardiologist could not get me to quit, so you know that is BAD...and shameful...But due to his persuasion, I had switched to mostly decaf to make him happy, but still had some caffeinated ones sometimes too...

Sigh...it has been hard I will admit and headache inducing...but I am already feeling so much better in that regard...

Thank you for your kind words...means a lot...and I am so proud of you too...from one Diet Coke junkie to another I know the pain!!!...lol...

Keep going. After a while you won't even think about it. I allow myself one regular coke per week. Usually on Sunday afternoon while I do the NY Times crossword. The rest of the week is either water or iced green tea.

That is wonderful...I too have been drinking so much water and found a wonderful tea shop when I was recently visiting my family...I bought a variety of wonderful loose leaf teas and have been immensely enjoying...LOVE...

Just stopping in to say AWESOME JOB to everyone workin on doing for themselves. I haven't posted much lately but I have been reading the posts. Lots of determination and drive, and progress! Even when you ask for help you're an inspiration because it shows the will to keep going, even if you need a hand up for the next step.

You're all my heroes :)

This is called the Skinny Shake, it tasted just like a Wendy's Frosty:

3/4 cup Almond Milk
about 15 ice cubes
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1-2 Tbsp unsweetened Cocoa powder
1/3 of a Banana
Blend.

This is awesome, but if you take out the cocoa powder and replace it with cocoa protein, it would be even better for you, and it would be a meal replacement LOL.

Thanks for posting!

Oh what a workout I gave myself today! I am feeling it too!

Now I need to shower, then put the garbage out!

I don't understand this. I mean my children do this, they say "I'm going to take a shower then do something where I may get dirty"

Seriously, why not take the trash out first? I'm just curious, so if you can help me understand I would appreciate it.

Well if I had thought about it before peeling all my sweaty clothes off I would have taken it out first! I had put the recycle stuff out before I went to the gym.
