Singledad's Bootcamp

I am signing in to the bootcamp.

And I am signing off Lit so I can go do a 30-minute walk before breakfast!

Yay! Good job, hon! :rose:

Hey, do any walkers here have a good GPS app for calculating miles walked? Is there such a thing?

Yes there are a couple of apps. I don't have one. But I recall hearing about them on a tech spot on the News. If I find it, I'll post it.

Done! And a healthy breakfast of fibre cereal and a banana. :)

Plan your snack know, and have it in a couple of hours. That will help to keep your hunger under control. And, water, water, water! Drink lots of water!

Yep. Two glasses already today.
Good idea about snack planning. Thanks, Blu.

BOO..

Y'all do realize that if I stick to this I'm going to be so sexy they'll have to deport me to another country, right?

Struck out again, lol

Well the important thing is to want to do this for yourself and no one else
That is such a defeatist way of looking at it..LOL
mere preferences, my dear....much like I prefer a Chateauneuf du Pape, but I'll gladly take a Pinot Noir.. ;)

But, yes, I most certainly agree with you on the doing it for yourself. And this is for my health..nothing more nothing less.:)

Weighed in at 251.6lbs this morning. My aim is to drop 40lbs before my 40th birthday. I have 5 months. I reckon i can do that.

Hey! Went to visit my son over the weekend, and brought his dog back with me for a month while they move into a new place. Like I said, I'll do it for the dog before I'll do it for myself... except, I started walking for myself last week, didn't I? It's all good.

Do we all have to do this? Post our particulars? Goals? My goal is to keep the weight off and improve my muscle tone. It's about improving my mood and raising my heart rate, as well ... since I don't get any... um... oh nevermind. You all know what I'm talking about by now, anyway. ;)

No! You don't have to post any particulars. Singledad started this as a way for us to support and motivate each other. The goal's you have set are excellent, and the most ones!

I know what you mean about improving the mood. I find that if I've missed a few days of working out, I start to feel very down and I don't have as much patience.

I only know how much I weigh because I went to the doctor last week and you have to step on a scale. I don't follow keeping track of weight at all. It's more of how my clothes fit and how I feel. My main goal is to keep my blood pressure down without meds.

You can DO it!

And GOD... this means I'm older than Jett...

226 here..I guess I need to take measurements?

Just like BK stated, I don't really believe in setting a "weight" goal. I do suggest you take measurements only to track your progress. Your clothes will also do this for you if you are planning on loosing a lot of weight.

Again though, this is about getting healthy, nothing more, nothing less. Some may wan't to get to a place where they can be a model, others may just want to get back to "pre-pregnant" weight, and others may want to get to where they were when they were 40, LOL.

I did take all my measurements and when I finish my 90 days, I may or may not post pre/post pics and measurements, LOL. We will see.

Keep up the good work everybody and remember, water, drink lots of water and BREATH while exercising.

Didn't mean to start a bonfire folks.

I wanted to post my goal so that it was out there. I know for myself that I'm more likely to follow through on a public commitment. It wasn't meant as a challenge for everyone.

Yeah, we know you're just love to start all kinds of trouble! Keep it up and we will have to take drastic measures! :caning:

I had to get my eyes examined this morning, so I made the appointment as early as possible. When I was done I went to workout at the gym. I have decided to change up my weights and I think I will be feeling it tomorrow!

But, the good news is that I still don't need bi-focals!
