I HOPE I AM NOT OFFENDING ANYONE BUT........
I was just wondering what the big deal deal with posting one...two...three or more similiar threads was all about?
I like reading peoples comments more than I like to read "that one was done before"!! If you think that it was done before why are you wasting our time and yours by posting just to say it was done before. I think you could think up something better to say, couldn't you????

I guess I wasn't asking a question, but rather making a statement.

When I have brought up old threads it really was with the thought of helping. Someone wants info on, say, oral sex, and if I can remember a thread that had five pages of great advice I'm happy to pass the address on.

My advice on how people respond to your questions is this: Ignore people who don't help you, because there are plenty of other people here who will.

Sorry, back on topic, re-done threads. Here's my take on this. My oldest daughter studied elephants last year while in second grade. My youngest daughter, who is now in second grade, will also study them. Just because the first child already covered that topic, doesn't mean the younger one has nothing to learn.

For the record, I appreciate links to prior threads, saves me the hassle of searching. Besides, thanks to such a link, I got to see the funniest picture of an individual in need of a cephalanalectomy.

I agree with Canadian_Lady to a certain degree... When I see someone fairly new to the board ask a question that is met with the all too familiar response "This has already been done." I tend to get a little angry. BUT, when the "already done" question is given an address to helpful information in a thread that already exists, I think that's great. At least their question is being answered that way instead of being ignored.

Thank-you very much Alyrahh...and I was not commenting on the critics that do not give you a link to a similar thread...I would be very happy to thank them. I was commenting on the ones that quote, say things like "OMG that was done before, can't you be original"? Also I'd like to say if you do not have anything to share with the thread starter why comment at all.
Here is a thought, if you read a thread and the only comment you can come up with is an insult why bother, is what I would like to know.
