In my younger years I collected a lot of celebrity autographs, although most of them have "disappeared".
My most notable signatures are copies of autobiographies signed to me by Michael Caine and Mickey Mantle. (I also treasure an autographed photo of Mets' Al Leiter, although I liked his hand shake better!!)
I have a huge collection of signed pictures of race car drivers. If it's related to Michael Waltrip, he's signed it for me. My most prized possessions, my tapes of his wins and the driver's side door from the Brickyard and the nose piece from Talladega.
autogramms of Tiger Woods, Michael Douglas, Cathrine Zeta-Jones, Tom Cruise, Michael Keaton, Ernie Els, Harrison Ford, Hugh Grant, Samuel L. Jackson, various other Hollywood celebs and tons of stuff from motorsports and from authors.
I all got them "live", i.e. they signed the stuff infront of me - I dont even know why I still got them since I dont even care about such stuff, but I collected it for a friend of mine who died in the WTC and his brother gave them back to me.
i have two - the first is stephen king's autograph in my copy of "the shining" which i was purchasing in betts bookstore in bangor maine when mr king just happened to be in the store that day - what a thrill - i have a copy of every book he has written
the other is an autographed baseball which i caught in the stands during the first no-hitter every pitched against the baltimore orioles in memorial stadium in baltimore - there was only one other no-hitter pitched against them at home and that was in their final season after which the stadium was abandoned and the team moved to their new home at camden yards ~
