*sigh*

Persians themselves, on the other hand, go on top of the horses - unless they're Greeks, in which case they seem to prefer a rearward position.

Divinely. See Wikipedia for a description of their traditional folk culture, which is closely related to that of the Egyptians. Their harvest celebration involves throwing rugs over the backs of horses and beating them, then proceding to the annual Dance of the Ambiguous Pronoun Reference.

Only in the third, unabridged edition. You know the one, with the eyeball that rolls around on its cover...

Excuse me, that is a PROMO edition that was only released at WhattaCon IV under the short-lived "Whygax" publication imprint for distribution by Nichelle Nichols. Furthermore, the "eyeball" was affixed TO the cover in a stationary position. The moving portion of the device is referred to as a "goog" and was confined to the the orbit of the "gull," the plastic bubble bounding the "goog."

Is this a 'for credit' course? And can I get a certificate? I need some more letters after my mane....sniff, sniff...there is a strong odor of horse puckey in this room...is there an extra charge for that?

ahem...

Our standard price for a doctorate in Wikipediology is $9.95 plus tax, with an optional decorative frame for $23.99. We also have a special this week; purchase a doctoral degree in Egyptology and we will throw in MA's in Greco-Persian history and world geography at no additional cost.

Horse puckey comes free with all shipments. It's the packing material that's eco-friendly AND stylishly distinctive!

"Wale, pilgrum, let's saddle up an' head this herd ta Constantixandria."

(As a quick aside to those kind enough to ask - the original issue of the thread has been painlessly and generously resolved. Blanche DuBois' faith is well placed.)

God bless us all, every one of us.

We've managed six pages of jokes about a four pages of jokes on another thread. :D

We rock.

I searched back for this after being reminded of it by a silly post on the GB, and I laughed until I cried all over again. It deserves a kick upward. :)

(I edited the first post to redirect, but if you're the sort who just reads the most recent post, many of the running gags are based on this silly thread.)

Ooh, that sounds nasty. You might want to think about going to a witch to have that looked at.

I don't suppose they're Arabian horses, are they? The best ones come from Moscow, or so I'm told.
