Sig lines

So, lets move the debate here and have a fun poll.

What's your opinion on sig lines?

ETA: I like sig lines, always have one in my email and such. But some distract me too much, so I turned them off. Easy.

i really couldn't give LESS of a shit about what someone chooses to put in their signature. If it is there i assume it is important to them and it's not my right to tell them they can't have it.

i'm sure everyone knows what i put . but seriously, i think it's a bit petty and down right ridiculous to "flame" someone for their sig line. i mean really, there are options available. option one of course is the scroll bar, scroll down, down further, there ya go, now ya don't see my sig line. the second option is to click the little check mark that says "show signatures" in your edit options.

i've had to defend myself alot of times on this board since i joined, but i have to say this last thing, defending my signature line, has GOT to be the MOST ridiculous! so yea, there's my opinion. sorry if i sound pissed off. it's because i pretty much...am. a WHOLE thread has been started simply because my signature line was longer than someone else thought it should be. even though there are many others who's are just as long as mine.

not meaning to take this personal, but it's obvious why this thread was started. no offense to the OP of this thread..because it's interesting to read everyone's thoughts, but i just don't understand why it's such a BIG deal. ya know??

I never give much thought to my sig line, but I do have one, on every forum I frequent. I like at least a little something to express myself.

As for other people's... well, I love reading everyone's sig, it gives me a little bit of a look at who they are. I like it.

Dude. Chill out, it's not all about you and your sig line. Ever occur to you that in another thread I asked someone if I could have something for my sig line and then added it? And this happened today. In other words it's as likely to be about my sig line as yours.

Yeah, me too. When I'm interested in someone, I check out their profile and their sig line. *shrugs* Otherwise I just scroll by, just like I scroll by opinions of people I don't like.

Hey LSR - I really didn't mean to make it personal. I didn't realize that you could see it this way -- with good reasons -- and I really didn't mean to.

The poll was really just meant as a silly thing to have fun. I'm sorry it could be seen as anything else than that.

no, no. you took my post wrong. that's why i said i did not mean any offense to the OP. i did not take this Poll personal. and i guess this should have been posted in the thread that i got flamed in, but since this thread was specifically about sig lines i thought this would be the best place. i'm sorry that i'm not explaining myself well at all. i'm tired, should be in bed actually, and well just frustrated as hell. that's all..i meant no offense to you for starting this thread. i enjoy reading what others have to say about the subject. forgive me for not expressing myself the right way?.....

You know, I might be just being bitchy. It's very very possible - I'm very tired, I'm really fucking cold, and I've been K-less all weekend. I'll probably come tomorrow and feel bad. My feeling is that if you're continuing to be flamed about your sig, tell them to turn of their sigs or shut up. Then stop going to that thread! That's what I do when people bitch about my fluff. And this thread was looking to be interesting and fun, and now no one's gonna post, cause we killed it with that. ALSO, DB isn't the type, from what i've seen, to be that sneaky. If it was about you, I'm pretty sure she'd have said it was about you.

I never interact with you, but in complete and utter honesty, when I saw this thread I immediately thought of how you have been insulted for having a long sig line. I see you drawing a connection to be completely plausible and logical, and without over-egofication.

again, it wasn't about DB or this thread, honestly. and again i'll say, i did not do a very good job of expressing myself in my first post. i am tired, very tired, i have to work in the morning and i don't want to, i have stress that i just can't handle right now and fighting over my sig line on that other thread is really really wearing thin on my nerves. so when i saw this thread, i voted on the poll and gave my opinion. when what i should have done was just gone to bed instead of posting so quickly. i did not mean to take it personal and i know that DB did not mean for me to take it that way.

honestly, it was a case of me putting a post on a thread that i shouldn't have. it should have gone on the thread it was all started in, but again since this one was specifically started for the issues, i figured i'd post it here....i am TERRIBLY sorry if i offended anyone or stopped anyone from posting on this thread..that was not my intention.. *passes the plate of chocolate chip cookies to gracie as i walk out the door*
