Ok folks, now it's time to vote for the awards on the Sexual Role Playing!

So I ask all that have read and joined in any threads on that board to, to go to the Awards & Contests board and nominate in the different categories!!

And I also want to thank Merelan for having had the hard work of figuring out what the categories should be!! Without her help this wouldn't have happened! Thanks dear *kiss*

While I applaud your efforts, I'm having trouble voting.
For me, too many of the categories are based on posts rather than threads.


Threads stick out in my mind.
Individual posts don't.
There are no awards in the story categories for best paragraph.



I also found the wording on the individual awards odd.

I have relied heavily on Merelan to help with collecting the different categories for the SRP awards, since I at the time where we were collecting them, had very little time to be here. So it's actually her, with help from several people on the SRP board, that have decided what the different categories are.

We also ran it by Laurel, and she suggested that we should let HSWriter take care of the nomination and all, but he have a full schedule, so I have pushed it into my schedule.

And honestly, do it matter what the wording is? As long as people understand the meaning of the threads.

I think that it's mostly posts that have been singled out, since it's people we want to award. It's a bit hard to award the thread, because then you have to award this bunch of people that have posted on this thread, and that can soon turn into a lot of people. At least that's mainly my viewpoint on it.

I'd like to nominate people but I've really only read a few threads. I've probably never seen most of the boards writing.

Tabby I think a lot of great threads and posts will be forgotten by the people who nominate, because there are so many great threads on the SRP board. So I think you should just go ahead and nominate!

What's wrong with that?
I think players should be judged on their body of work, rather than a single good moment.


And as far as awarding a bunch of people, I think the collaborative process is what sets the SRP Board apart from the story section.
I find it much harder to write with someone than by myself.
But when you find the right rhythm, it can be so rewarding.
Ignoring half or a third or however many participants put in hard work on a project is blatently unfair.

I don't know if you e-mailed merelan about your suggestions for this, but I didn't see any comments about it from you on the thread she started on the SRP board about the nominations. So if you didn't suggest anything, next time maybe you should when we ask for opinions ok?
