Just remembering this week about 50 years ago when I came home from my first job for a visit and an old female friend (best friend's girl situation) met me at the airport. After dropping my bags off at my parents place, we drove to her home where we had an ultimately frustrating session involving lots of heavy nude petting but stopping short of actual fucking. A day or two later we had a rather heated conversation in which she attacked my religious beliefs or by her standards my lack thereof - and I began to wonder if she was actually trying to recruit a convert with a classic lure. I've always wondered how her effort might have gone over if we had actually 'gone all the way' - I had often been frustrated that she was my best friend's girlfriend and she admitted later that she deliberately teased me at times like when she sat on my lap in my friend's car during a short drive. So has sexual recruitment of converts ever been used in a story?

C'mon man, you were her boyfriend's best friend, that's right up there with his dad, on the forbidden fruit chart. She obviously knew you were attracted to her and decided to have a little fun with you. A lot, if you actually got naked.
I'm not sure what you mean by "recruit a convert," but she was clearly testing your loyalties and seeing what sort of man you are, via seduction.

This would be more interesting in my opinion is it was a thwarted conversion and the attempted convertee actually lured the person trying to seduce them away from whatever religion/cult/ whateva.

I personally am very disturbed by “flirty fishing” conversion as you describe. I’m comfortably spiritually agnostic and I’ve written several religious characters. I’m not the only reader who feels as I do either. I would avoid what you describe in stories. It will upset readers. Flirty fishing for dating relationships is fine. Not for religious conversion. Trust me. Thank you.

I am not sure...maybe I have not had enough coffee yet, because I am struggling to see where religion comes into play here? It seems like she was flirting with you, and you were upset flirting was all it was. I can see where years later, your friend and her did not make it, so NOW it seems innocent, but I agree with Rob; at the time, and not knowing the future, she did the right thing by being loyal to her boyfriend.

I can see a story developing where a man and his girlfriend try and test his best friend by having her openly flirt and try and seduce him, but I am not sure what the ending would be?

To be an erotic story, he would most likely succumb to his desires, and as Rob says, make the guy the biggest low-life ever.
If the woman likes it; she is the biggest loser slut girlfriend ever.
Yet if she dislikes it, and the man just takes her, then it's way too rapey.
Having the boyfriend and girlfriend do it all for a baby that the boyfriend cannot sire, is overly done and lame.
