If it was me, I would want it to be something special- you will always remember your First, no matter how long that relationship lasts.

You said that you've been chatting...have you met in person yet? Meeting someone online and in the "real world" can be very different. I've gone on quite a few dates with men I have met online and even with the men I clicked with, it WAS different when we were actually together. In fact, I met my current boyfriend here on Lit.

Just be careful, HARDKOREBJ. I've known a girl online for a little more than 2 years. She said that she was 16 then. We talked online, on the phone, she would call me and I her. I was there when she got involved with a 20 year old guy who got her pregnant. I comforted her online to feel good about herself and not ashamed. She made 18 this year and often talked about us meeting. She sent me several pictures of her sexy self..........SO I THOUGHT.

On day, we were online and I noticed that she wasn't talking too much. Finally she admitted something that scared the living shit out of me, she admitted that she was only 15.

dont plan it , if things start to go wrong it will ruin the fantasy
if it is going to happen it will, just go with the flow , sometimes the best sex happens out of the blue
lose your inhibitions , nothing fouls up good sex like shyness or hangups

I notice in my post Im described as a virgin. That was so long ago.
In theory, of course it should be special but believe me it wont be (and this time i will take her to a hotel fot that gearstick nearly killed me) for you will be unsure and wont know really what to do and neither will she. Eg it wasnt until my third partner when she said "you bastard I was so nearly there" that I realised the girl was supposed to come as well. Ooops!!!!

That being the case, I would recommend taking this REALLY slowly...and GuyJD has a point too. If you like each other you should definately meet- but also know that there is no guarantee of what will happen when you do.
