Separation and seduction of happily married couple at party - looking for ideas

I have in mind a happily-married, loving couple newly moved into an upper-class neighbourhood.

An existing, well-established couple who throw swinger parties at their large house have set their sights on them and invite them as an ostensibly innocently-motivated "welcome" act to the next party.

Unaware of the nature of these gatherings and possibly slightly naive, the couple accept.

I'm looking for ideas to use here. The "predatory" couple want to end up fucking the two and to have them both realise by the end of the evening that each has been well and truly unfaithful, thereby inducting them into the club, so to speak. Ideally, I want to use the minimum of Kubrick-style paraphernalia although there can be a slightly surreal atmosphere here.

What tactics could they employ for this separation and seduction? It can be taken as read that the other guests can be "in" on the plot.

Interesting. I'd think some sort of euphoric or aphrodisiac would be in play here? To get the couple past the inhibitions. Couple with being surrounded by very attractive and seductive people who are bit more touchy feely than they are used too.

Like the idea a lot.

Rob's thought of something in the drinks - or maybe the candles? - is an obvious but winning one, as is the being approached by the more attractive, touchy-feely guests.

As regards how to separate them, I think some games played with lights being alternately switched on and off might be useful. I take it that we're dealing with an appropriately large number of guests who could carry them off "all innocent" to different rooms, still as something of a melee.

The hard part would be introducing the sexual element with distinct pairings happening, even if in together in the same room as others. Not sure how this could happen.

Perhaps identify something that each of the couple wants, e.g., the husband wants an invite to the golf club (where all the real business gets discussed) and Mrs Posh says she can get him one if he plays nice, and the wife is likewise banging her head against the glass ceiling and Mr Posh is good friends with her boss's boss... and it helps that Mr & Mrs Posh have a beautiful house and aren't bad looking for their age...

You just did this thread:

Same concept, same set-up, different wording.

If you check, you'll see I "did" that thread some six months ago. It wasn't me who resurrected it.

Yes, I am somewhat into the concept of predatory couples which could be of different ilks depending on their "prey" and circumstances. Sex is a happy hunting ground for writers interested in motivations and urges. "Predation" surely has to be one of these. Long may this last.

Yes, good. Thanks for that. It hadn't occurred to me to set up a pseudo/bribery or "inducement" situation in addition to the other employable tactics.

Thanks for the lights suggestion. A good ploy. At the moment I'm certainly struggling with the endgame scenario where the sex matter becomes overt and clear.

Another good one.

What I would suggest as intriguing is the small matter of POV. From whose viewpoint are you going to narrate? Is it to be strictly third person perhaps, in which case I believe you'd be missing a trick? Interestingly, the tale could be told from the POV of any one of your four main characters or indeed from that of one of the other invited guests.

An alternating POV..?

It's a point to ponder.

The surreal atmosphere mentioned in the OP ought to be stressed as a vehicle to keep the protagonists moving in the right direction. I would suggest also that the guests become ever more "tactile" towards the naive couple after these are separated but before full lechery goes on display.

An arousing matter for the reader might be for both the husband and the wife to catch a glimpse of the other at a distance and in dimly lit surroundings, apparently being led "off stage"...

I'd be interested in how the final scene is done. Is a set of double doors opened to allow husband and wife to see each other in the "throes of infidelity", or something of that sort?

If either husband or wife needs a final "push", possibly a good idea to have a two-way mirror feature in proceedings..?

Yes, I do like the 'inducement' motivation - which they can tell themselves 'isn't really cheating' ; 'just networking and doing favours for friends' - 'this will help (the other partner / our children) etc'

I was reflecting also if each of the two comes into the party setting with slightly different moods and thoughts. They could have squabbled that afternoon, so one is feeling resentful of the other - so 'this is a way of getting even, and it'll just be a one-off'. The other could have been told by one of their friends earlier in the day to 'broaden your horizons', 'spend time with folks who think differently from you, 'it'll be good for you AND your partner, who'll thank you for thinking outside the box more often'.

(Other inducements might include - old boy/girlfriend unexpectedly a guest at the party? Even a bet between the couple - "can we resist the notorious parties at the Poshes - of course we can; I have no qualms about your behaviour, and of course no-one will look at me twice etc etc. They must have TV or wifi for us to look at while the others are getting up to mischief. I'll buy you those tickets you want if someone even gets a kiss out of you". The well-trodden alibi is also 'fancy dress' - one/both of them honestly don't realise that they're with a different partner till it is much much too late)

Last thought - maybe it's implicit in the scenario, but I like the idea of each of the two partners believing they are the *only* one to get up to no good; it's a one-off, s/he won't know AND it's for the best of motives. Only much later - after the reveal - is it clear to them both that both have surrendered - either with bonding results or (of course) the opposite.

Really strong scenario anyway - please write it!

Excellent. Many thanks for all of that. I had already thought of the "slight alienation" possibility - the quarreling, in other words.

I'm particularly taken with your final thought - that each spouse might fondly believe the other not to be aware or to be "too good/loyal" to be engaging in such stuff. I'll certainly think of using that. Basically it's a case of the more driving factors, the better.

To reprise my earlier point, I've thought about it and would now propose this be written from the POV of the 'prey wife'.

I realise a first person narrative inevitably imposes problems as regards communicating all the 'angles', but I think an exposé of all her thoughts, feelings and (for that matter) urges would more than compensate.

Have her luxuriating in the immediate afterglow of her orgasm as the host husband delivers his last few thrusts when the room divider between them and the bed containing her husband and the host wife goes up and reveals all...
