I'll be the first to say I want a red H and I'm disappointed if any of my stories don't get one. I don't write in categories that determine the red H, I write in categories that interest me. I don't write a gay male story simply because I'm not a gay male. I don't write that much into incest simply because I'm not into incest. Writing for this site and the others that I post to is a way for me to get my work read and to develop a fan base, I won't lie. I want to be published and am working my way to that fact.

I read the stories in the contest, commented on those I wanted to, voted on more when I didn't feel like commenting. I didn't feel the need to make a huge deal over what I thought of them.

And as for Sarahhh, any woman (If indeed she is one) who feels the need to send men naked pics of someone purporting to be her isn't an author. That's whoring out pictures to get those little red Hs. I know a few of the men who've gotten pictures of her and have personally seen the emails. Besides that, Sarahhh, who might actually have talent if she didn't write one type of story designed for one sort of group of people, is very limited on her scope, unlike some people I could name.

No, there isn't any jealousy involved. I don't need to send out nudes or to write erotic letters to fans to get people to read my work. I wouldn't want to write the crap she churns out anyways. And trust me, that isn't sour grapes.

I do have to wonder, if you know that what your doing is causing bad feelings and a lot of angst amongst a group of people you don't want to be around anyway, why continue?

The Authors Hangout clearly isn’t the happy place it’s made out to be. It’s a place where a group of intelligent and competitive people have smugly gathered. Behind the arrogant belief that they are somehow superior to not only the readers who come here (which is your greatest fault), but also the majority of the sites authors, lies a sad insecurity. Because most of you would prefer to be somewhere else. Published. Read by people you consider your peers.

You're right! It's a terrible place full of miserable gits whose sole pleasure is ripping shreds off other writers and castigating them for their politics, their wit or their sexuality. I want to beat all the bastards who post stories here, I wanna be top of every catagory and if I have to cheat to get there, that is what I'm going to do.

I think it's funny that he accused us all of being snobs who "forget" that we're on a smut site. Gee, did I forget that? I could have sworn that I remember it a lot, and if I should happen to forget, someone is sure to remind me by flirting with me in a very hot way. Not that I'm complaining.

Ummm...I think you'd have to cut it out, paste it into a fresh canvas, enlarge it, paste it back into the old canvase as a new layer, possition it and then merge the layers...I might could manage it if you sent me a copy.*impish grin*

STORY 28 – ‘A Day at the Beach’ by FunDareGuy

There were no new stories posted today but this guy’s story should definitely be in the contest. This story is closer to the contest theme than any produced yet. Living down here on South Beach I’ve heard these exact conversations a hundred times. Girls visiting from the north, who after a day or two of watching, finally, shyly, nervously undo their tops, baring their beauties to the sun for the first time since they were six or seven year olds.

And their boyfriends, not sure whether to be proud or embarrassed. Sometimes it’s the girl who initiates the nudity, sometimes, like in this story, the man. It’s a fun dance to watch play out as you sit watching. Almost invariably, after ten or fifteen minutes, both partners become comfortable with something that they never, ever thought they’d do. I’ve even been asked to snap pictures of smiling, giggling couples, pictures to take home, memories for those cold northern nights.

4 No sex but this is so true to life. Too bad he didn’t put chapter two, the trip to Haulover, with this one.

If I read the above post correctly (and I'm not sure I did), I think I'm being acused of commenting on this persons story anonymously. Sorry, not me. I think I've shown on this thread I'm quite prepared to use my name. I'm not even sure what previous post she's referring to - this is the first time I've conciously seen your name. I'd promise to read the story in question but not if its 18 pages long. Simply not enough time now. I did like your comments on Selena's story though. You're one of the only people who've given their own honest review of one of the stories I've reviewed. It's what I was hoping would be the response. Honest discussion.

Now, its off to the beach for me…

Thanks so much for the kind words about my story. I very rarely visit the BB anymore and though your comments are some five years old (geez has it been that long???) they are still very much appreciated. I used to be a little more prolific in my writing, but alas, life's responsibilities sometimes take their toll on creativity. I've been trying to contribute now and again, and I'd really like to get back to my Sex Ed class series at some point, but we'll just have to see what I can manage. Encouragement and appreciation like this certainly fan the flame though. Thanks again!!

I did consider doing it again this year but I'm now planning on submitting a story to this years LITEROTICA contest so I don't think it would be fair to score other authors.

And scoring the A.I.R. Contest entries would be impossible given the huge number of entries that the contest will attract.
