I have no problem with the Third Reich angle so long as you stay clear of the holocaust and all that entailed. That would make it a bit too close to personal history.

Thank you for the input, death, Black Tulip, and Red. Yeah, I have enough ideas for the story without touching on sore topics like the Holocaust. This is meant to be more of a suspense/magic deal, with a background of espionage and war. Oh, and a little sex to spice it up. That's the essence of Chapter 16 as I am so inclined at the moment.

Posted on schedule, but with not a moment to spare. Talk about cutting it close! Whew!

Anyway, I eagerly await its approval.

Note. This story isn't quite how I initially expected it, when I first presented the idea, so I apologize in advance for altering it a bit in the plot from what I first advertised. I had a burst of inspiration and turned it into a love story between the major and an old flame of his...with Laresa simply helping them. Hope that works. I think that I managed to steer clear enough of the Holocaust and keep it more focused.

The powers that be have not yet changed the chapter number for Dark's story, but we'll still keep the chapters right in our thread here and I'll put an author note in mine if the chapter number isn't fixed by the time I submit on the 13th.

I'm going to be leading off from SEVERUSMAX's chapter with an offspring of their characters. We'll see how that develops as I write.

I'm looking forward to reading it, especially to see where Laresa's friendship with Rolf and Heidi goes, as well as the birth of their son and how they lose her.

Dark. . .would you consider resubmitting your work and posting the need to change the title from Ch. 14 to Ch. 15. . .or PM'ing the powers that be yourself and seeing if they can change your title to 15? I haven't heard from Laurel on this subject or my poem (inserts pouty face here). Perhaps she's on vacation and just hasn't had a chance to get to this, or she's just wanting folks to go through proper protacal and have you resubmit.

I'll resubmit. The last title changes I did went through within a couple of days. It seems that if you word the moderator notes right, and it's obvious that you're only doing a title change, they jump it pretty quickly.

I still can't fathom what in the sam hell would have caused them to change the chapter number I know for a fact that I didn't bugger it up. I checked it far too closely, and I had to go in and change it from 16 to 15 in all my stuff on the HD when Danielle had to bow out of another chapter. The number was too ingrained in my head to have made that mistake.

I'm probably going to write an ending to my last chapter outside the chain, if you don't mind me borrowing Laresa to finish the story That is, unless the stories between now and when I get to writing it allow me to work it into the chain. If I can figure out a way to pull it off that way, it will be a good transition for the core of what I plan for my next chapter. Probably be tough to do though.

Things happen and people make mistakes, even moderators. Like I said, she may be really busy and just hasn't had a chance to fix it, or may not want her PM box littered with story issues.

You're last paragraph is a bit confusing, but I think I understand it. You want to write a story with Laresa that isn't part of this chain or at least have her in a bit of your story. This is fine. Danielle did this with Miranda and the Prince, so I don't have a problem with you using Laresa in another story.

I am going to work on mine today and hopefully get it finished. I was swept into completeing the final installment in my Dazzled by December story yesterday. So Laresa is my priority today.

My chapter number correction is submitted, it's just a matter of when they get around to processing it.

I'll get in and read 16 tonight at some point for a RVC, and update the Laresa links on my pages/sig. I just need to get an edit rolling for someone. It got put on the back burner while I was trying to finish my latest, and I need to get the red sword swinging for him.

I'll jump on writing on my next one, and that ending to Ch. 15. Maybe if I get on a roll, I could have something finished to pop a chapter in there if you can't get your Muse in gear, Red. If the schedule gets a bit muddled, or there's a delay, people will understand. It is the holidays, after all. Even though that's not the reason, it's a good excuse, use it!

I just finished a long story for my Alt, the one that sparked me to create the Alt in the first place. Anybody got a chainmail suit for me when "It Cuts Both Ways" gets dropped into the shark-infested waters of Loving Wives? *laugh*

I should really be writing on Danica, but she's obviously off in her trailer playing Prima Donna, because I can't get that story rolling. That's why I ended up finally writing Cuts. Maybe Laresa is ready for her closeup now... we'll see

I have rethought my attack on my Laresa Chapter and am scratching the idea to lead off with Rolf and Heidi. . .the story I want isn't cooperating with me.*sigh* I may link it, but I don't think I'll be using a large part of them in it like I thought I would.

The closer for chapter 15 is now in the works. I'll be writing it whenever Danica isn't cooperating with me *laugh* It's outside the chain, so no deadline I'll probably add a pointer to the closing notes of Ch. 15 ( great... another edit... arrgghhh! ) when I finish it, so it will kinda sorta be part of the chain that way, if not an official chapter.

This is the stuff that was supposed to be part of the chapter anyhow, but it was already up to five Lit pages, and this ending would have come close to doubling it.

I was dreaming up "Finding Karen" and Ch. 15 at the same time, and this closer is sort of a karma/flip side of the coin thing to Karen depicting Native Americans through the eyes of a scared young woman from the east coast.

I'll probably start writing a bit on my next official chapter soon, and I actually have a few paragraphs of the sequel to Ch. 10 written down too.

I may be in over my head a bit here. Between the Danica fans, the Arilee fans, and the Laresa fans, I don't know if I can manage to keep throwing them all a bone often enough...

Especially if I keep jumping out on limbs wih things like Karen and Cuts in the meantime
