feeling kinda creepy here...
just spent 15 minutes stealing Facebook photos of my sister & her kids for a present for my mom. They all seemed to be wrapped in there own world and never communicate with her. I get the odd thumbs up from my sister but she refuses to even talk to me. Mom doesn't do computer stuff & even if she did my dad refuses to get more then dial up with Frontier and his PC is so outdated that he doesn't even print off odd emails from the kids for her cause his printer wont work.

So nerd girl is stealing family photos and doing a shutterfly book.:cool:

I don't think it's creepy. Creepy would be putting together a shutterfly book of people you didn't know to keep for yourself...:eek:

You're fine. You're the archivist. My cousin recently posted a series of photos on facebook going back 70 years or more. I'm not going to do that. I'm not going to take the time to find them, figure out who they are and then scan and post them.
But I loved seeing them, and told her so.

Embrace it. It's wonderful!

I third the idea. My dad was big into geneology, and was the technical person in the family. My mom can barely use a cell phone, but wants me to teach her how to use the internet. We each have a role to play, and this is yours. Starry the Archivist
