He also claimed he was an EMT and went around provoking perfectly healthy protesters by offering them "medical" assistance while brandishing his illegal AR-15. One of the protesters called him out and stated Rottenhouse pointed his illegal AR-15 at him when he was standing on a car. Rottenhouse was caught on video admitting he pointed his illegal AR-15 at the guy, but under oath Rottenhouse said he was being "sarcastic" or "joking" when he admitted to pointing his illegal AR-15 at protesters.(Where have we heard that canard before).

There's no such thing -- double jeopardy does not attach to a mistrial.

"Dismissal with prejudice" is a dismissal the judge can do based on prosecutoral misconduct which is intended to try and force a mistrial.

It's a sanction for abuse of the system to prevent punishing a defendant with never ending litigation.

Once the judge does it, the case cannot be retried. The "with prejudice" part can be appealed but the appeals court generally doesn't overrule the trial court on it when the conduct is as egregious as what's being done here.

It's reversible error to even mention that someone invoked their 5th Amendment Right to remain silent.

It's contempt for the prosecution to attempt to introduce evidence the judge has already ruled inadmissible.

Those 2 things alone are sufficient to support a "dismissal with prejudice" and the appeals court won't reverse it to allow the prosecution to refile/relitigate the case.
