OK, I was also ALMOST selected for the lead in a Disney movie when I was in 8th grade. I was one of the last 3 that tried out.

The very first open call audition, first time auditioning for anything I got the part beating out 80 other men for a part as the plaintiff on a court tv show back in 2013. I still haven't watched that episode.
