Reveal the most random fact about yourself.

Firstly it is quite surprising that you asked this question but I am going to tell you.

I fly between South Africa and Sweden 6 times a year and have learnt this canny little trick to determine my spatial orientation with respect to the chord of my arc. Huh? you may say, well let me explain. France has really pissed off some countries in North Africa namely Niger and Algeria, this is due mainly to historical reasons with France controlling their economies and as a consequence have had really poor GDP growth and so have blamed (rightfully) France for their slow growth etc. and have subsequently banned all French aircraft from flying over the respective countries. This has occurred mainly late last year (coup) and Algeria this year so Air France (the airline I fly on) has to now fly around these countries. So AF has to fly from SA to Paris in a curvilinear arc more or less around the bulge of Africa, which as you doubt know would cause some real headaches in trying to determine the chord length but my superpower is observational accuracy.

Now, KLM the airline of the Netherlands is owned by Air France and KLM flies over these countries so you can see how absolutely absurd this whole geopolitical situation is, also I need to add that Chad and Libya are unstable in terms of terrorism etc. so not a good idea to fly over them. This ordeal adds about an extra 30 minutes to my flight time, which doesn't bother me on the SA Paris leg because I have a 4.5 hour wait for my connecting flight to Sweden but the reverse leg does irk me a bit because I get back home later but that's just personal issues. I suppose one could ask why I then don't fly with KLM as they, being owned by AF, also use Flying Blue (AF frequent flyer program). It all comes down to the third language I learnt at school, which here's a clue it wasn't Dutch.

For the France to Sweden portion of the journey I use simple pythagorean principles to determine the abridged straight line to Sweden and this then gives me the distance between the start point and the end point, using some extrapolation within a 0.027% accuracy.

OR...

My partner could have plotted our respective houses on Google maps and determined the straight line distance between the two.

Well, that explains it! Thank you for the detailed explanation.

When I was very young I had very vivid dreams of drowning. It took a lot for me to overcome my fear of that.

I say I don't like people but I actually do. I just don't want to get close to people or have them think they actually know me.
I don't want people to know me.

People tell me stuff because they trust me not to tell.
I don't. I know so many secrets!

I like being me.

Others are a challenge.

Oh and I'm deaf in one ear.

It's not that I'm ignoring you.....or am I......
That's my ramble for the day😁

I auditioned for the lead character in a Disney movie. There were over 5,000 who tried out for it. They wanted an "unknown" person. After being initially selected out of a batch of 1,000, I went for a basic audition and made it again. Then they sent me a single page of the script (by a white stretch limo) and said my lines in front of a director. Again I made the cut and received the entire script and read my lines with another actor on camera. I was told I made it to the final three, but the three of us apparently sucked ass, because they finally gave the part to Johnny Whitaker.
