We already have the conviction of Manafort and the guilty pleadings of Cohen, Flynn, Papadopoulos and Gates. Manafort goes back on trial in DC for more charges related to Obstruction of Justice and other charges. But there is a whole rogues gallery of cheaters and liars that jumped on the Tricky bandwagon and that he surrounds himself with.
Rep. Duncan Hunter just got hit with a 47-page indictment for misuse of hundreds of thousands of campaign dollars. Worse he said he was buying stuff for the Wounded Warrior Project when it was clothing for himself to go on vacation (a vacation paid for my misuse of campaign funds). Incidentally he was the cofounder of the "Trump Caucus" in Congress.
The other cofounder of the Trump Caucus Rep Chris Collins indicted this month on insider trading charges. As for the rest of them in the Trump Caucus -
We have Rep. Scott DesJarlais of Tennessee in 2014 it came out that the anti-abortion Republican had urged a woman he impregnated to get an abortion
And then Rep. Tom Marino of Pennsylvania -- Marino was intended to be the country's drug czar after Trump nominated him when it was reported he helped drug distributors pass an industry-friendly law" that hobbled the Drug Enforcement Administration's efforts to halt the spread of the opioid crisis. "Marino took nearly $100,000 from the pharmaceutical lobby while advocating for the law," the CNN report said.
IN Tricky's inner circle we have Tom Price. He was too corrupt and incompetent even for the Trump administration - which is saying something. It began with Price’s confirmation hearing, which uncovered evidence of possible insider trading while in Congress. It ended with the corruption that appears to have characterized his time as a public servant. In his short reign at Health and Human Services, Price spent over $1 million on private planes and military aircraft for himself and his family.
Then we have the disgraced EPA chief Scott Pruitt, whose litany of abuses and corruption include spending nearly $60,000 in taxpayer money on private air travel and who reportedly also spent $25,000 building a soundproof booth so he could talk to people without being overheard by potential leakers. Pruitt pressured aides to find a job for his wife with a salary of at least $200,000. EPA whistleblower Kevin Chmielewski, a former deputy chief of staff, told CNN that Pruitt borrowed the mafia tactic of keeping two sets of books. The administrator deleted controversial meetings and appointments from his public calendar that were listed in the agency’s internal calendar.
Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross had retained assets in a shipping company enmeshed in Vladimir Putin’s inner circle. Then as the Paradise Papers were released he he took a short position on it—in effect, betting the value of his investment would drop. Lo and behold, when reports about Ross’s stake were published, the stock dropped somewhat. Ross then made a profit of between $100,000 and $250,000, according to disclosures. More Russian ties and more corruption.
Shulkin and Carson face the same problem: dubious use of taxpayer dollars in their duties as secretaries. So many of the Cabinet are abusing the taxpayer that is is being called "Conspicuous Corruption". Shulkin is under fire for a trip to Europe during summer of 2017. The government paid not only for Shulkin, but also for his wife, a security detail, and other staffers. Carson’s big problem is a $31,000 dining-table set purchased for his office, which far exceeded regulations on spending for decoration.
Then there’s Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, who took a security detail along when he went on a non-work-related two-week vacation in Greece and Turkey last year. For context, Zinke is a former Navy SEAL. Zinke’s travel habits are also the subject of an inspector-general investigation. That includes trips in which Zinke mixed official business and visits with donors. He also chartered a flight for $12,000 at taxpayer cost, aboard a plane owned by executives at an oil company. In another case, he spent $14,000 on helicopter rides around D.C., in part so he could participate in a horseback ride with Vice President Pence. This is something of a pattern for Zinke: He was reprimanded for, and according to some former flag officers saw his career partly derailed by, inappropriately billing the government for travel home while he was a SEAL. The Interior Department paid $139,000 for a door for Zinke’s office; the House Oversight Committee is investigating.
Then you have the Emoluments Lawsuit moving forward in a DC court against Tricky Trumpy himself. “Plaintiffs have plausibly alleged that the President has been receiving or is potentially able to receive ’emoluments’ from foreign, the federal and state governments in violation of the Constitution,” said the court a few weeks ago. All those foreigners are falling over themselves to spend money on Trump properties to curry favor with Tricky.
... and it just goes on and on. Yeah - it is a wall of text but it is a massively corrupt set of cronies that Tricky Trumpy has in his court.
He promises the "best people"? What a laugh. Drain the swamp anyone?
