Trying to find a story

Hoping to get some help finding a story I saw a story a while back, probably a year or more, under the Mind Control tag. The MC discovers an idol/statue of a goddess(?) that give him and his friend the power in each hand to take over someone's mind, two people total - one per hand. The MC uses one hand on a girl at school, then discovers his friend had used his hand on the MC's mom. He then takes over the friend with his remaining hand, and starts to expand his mind control using the hands of the people he had already mind controlled.
