Diversity relies on solidarity of the group. Putting people who are entrenched in tribal think into a diverse group of people outside of their tribe results in less solidarity, because old habits die hard.

You're more likely to get valid results by including people who have been exposed to more multi-group interactions than by including people who have not.

The paper listed earlier mentions that as well. Of course people who are opposed to inclusion would cause issues with the resulting value of it.

"aberrant minority" - there is absolutely truth to being an extreme outcast of society which deserves to be left outside of diverse planning. Personal responsibility cannot be left out of the discussion. But I cannot see the majority of lack of diversity cases being due to this.

Tattoos and piercings aren't really indicative of wild behavior that impacts productivity.
