Nebraskan Republican representative isn't happy about the freezing of funds since it affects his state: 'executive orders (by both presidents) "have gotten out of hand." '

That order includes a section dubbed "Terminating the Green New Deal," which freezes hundreds of billions of dollars in funding for various infrastructure projects launched during former President Joe Biden's administration. However, that money was already approved via the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which members of Congress were counting on for jobs in their districts.

Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.), who represents a purple district in the Omaha area, told the Atlantic that Trump's executive order was "alarming," particularly for his constituents, who were counting on $73 million from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to upgrade Omaha's airport.

"You just can’t determine what laws you want to execute and what you don’t," Bacon said, adding that executive orders from presidents representing both parties have "gotten out of hand."

it's fine when it affects blue states, maybe even other red states, but when it affects their own states/districts these republicans suddenly see the light. Elections have consequences. And for all those magats/republicans who enabled getting trump back into the White House... you VOTED for this, didn't you get the memo?

The ones who really make me laugh are the ones who opposed President Biden’s policies, and then took credit for them when those policies did worlds of good for their local communities.

under ogles' proposed 'amendment', trump would be the only one of the other 3 living presidents allowed to run again—Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama would all be excluded by the wording ogles is promoting.

And every Trump voter is like "He did WHAT? I didn't even know our government was ABLE to do that! He is truly the first non useless republican."
