Report from Ground Zero finally made me cry...

I was never able to shed tears over 9/11 last year...I couldn't understand why.

Tonight, while watching ABCs Report From Ground Zero...I finally got it....and I have been crying for two solid hours.

The men...the stories...the families...the people feeling helpless...the survivors...

On one hand...I am so incredibly sad...on the other hand...I am rejoicing that these people survived.

I was refusing to watch it as it started...and then I got caught up in the reality of everything. Wow.

I had a difficult day. My son was in NY, and I didn't know where he was. Thankfully he's ok, but I went to work that day knowing he was there somewhere......he'd only been at the base of the towers a few days earlier as it turned out. One of his best friends watched the second tower fall from his subway train. It could have been my son in the rubble.
