Rekindling in Hawaii (Closed)

[Archangel1978]

Steve noticed finally she wasn't holding back and she was letting him in a little.
He moved upwards to her shoulder and gently continued to kiss her little by little and pour the love he had for her over her like a shower. He brought his lips to her ears and just moved around her letting kisses fall onto her.

 

[Asa]

Her eyes close tight feeling his affections. She was shaking confused and a slight bit scared. Trying to regain her mind but all she could do was say...

Steve...

 

[Archangel1978]

Malayea"...He answered.

He reached out and tried to get her stop shaking.

He looked her in the eyes and the leaned forward and let his lips touch hers. He wondered how she'ed react.

 

[Asa]

She froze... deer in headlights. This was happening and there was no assignment no job just Steve... just her past is present as she felt him kiss her. She almost ran on instinct and leaned into the kiss faintly.

 

[Archangel1978]

He didn't move and allowed her to get comfortable with what was happening. It was new for him too. Her touch flooded his senses and his emotions. He let her touch sinking in and allowed himself to get used to it.

 

[Asa]

Breaking the kiss she just stared into his eyes as over 5 years seemed to vanish. She balled up not sure how to handle this at all but still huggec him closed and tight needing some sort of anchor in the spiraling madness in her mind.

He held her for what seemed like forever. He felt her relax and begin to almost decompress and let the walls melt around her. He just let her experience the moment.

 

[Asa]

Steve...

She tried to speak beyond that but no words. Her arms moved around his shoulders and neck just hugging him tight to her. Genuine emotion had been so foreign to her for the past 5 years the almost physically hurt to feel what she did for him.

 

[Archangel1978]

"Just let go..."
He hugged her gently and let her adjust to the new emotions that have been locked away for so long. Not letting them bubble over was one of the things he tried so hard to not let happen.

 

[Asa]

She pushed back putting a little distance between them. She took a deep breath trying to focus.

Steve... I... I don't know how to deal with this... 5 years... and its like nothing split us up...

She didn't know what she wanted right now or what she wanted to do say or even to think right now.

Steve sighed but wanted to take it slow.
"Malayea, I love you and want you to know that we can take it slow. There's no rush right now. But sweety, you have to realize that it's going to take some time to readjust."
He didn't expect her to take the whole thing easily and he was even having trouble with it.

 

[Asa]

Her world was spiraling wildly as her mind raced.

I... I want this all to work I never wanted it to stop working but... I don't want to fight like we did before.

Her eyes searching his...

If I tell International that I want to be based here and to help the local task force I have to know we are not going to fight over my first duty being to international.

 

[Archangel1978]

Steve smiled.
"As with all relationships we are going to have some adjustments but I will respect your first duty to International. There could even be a way to have the task force resources and international work together. But that's in the future.
If International let's you stay here and you get an assignment, then it's your duty."

 

[Asa]

She smiled maybe this could work after all.

So what are you going to do about Alasdiar wanting to meet with you? He may ask you to let him see me again or who knows he may be willing to cut a deal how will you handle that?

 

[Archangel1978]

He smiled back.
"About Alasdair I don't know. Would international allow a deal to be made after all the work you guys put into the investigation? I have to do a little research. But I want to go see him and talk and then I'll leave and then come back and see him again probably."

 

[Asa]

They might I mean its my case so I have some leeway with it.

Talk to him tomorrow an let me know what he has to say. I... I really need to get some sleep... you are welcome to stay there are plenty of rooms... if you want.

She bit her lip and watched him. Sometimes she hated how helpless situations like this made her feel.

 

[Archangel1978]

"Sleep sounds like a good idea. Well there are many rooms, I suppose I'll take the one down the hall from yours. " He started to walk away to his room after giving her a small kiss.
"Have a good sleep."

 

[Asa]

She woke up early and left word with the cook to tell Steve she would meet him at 5 0 HQ later. Then took off running trying her best to clear her head. Returning only when his car was gone to get ready and make a few calls to report in and set up her now being "based" in Hawaii.

A couple hours later she walked in to the HQ an nodded to Chin Kona and Danny.

Steve talked with the cook and had some breakfast and left for his place, went for a run and showered and headed to HQ. He was still trying to formulate how he was going to deal with the prison interrogation. It just wasn't sitting well with him.

 

[Asa]

Chi looked over to Steve

Another request to meet with you Steve from Alasdair. They say he seems worried and aggitated.

Kona was showing Maylea around while she waited for confirmation of he ability to work local now as well.

 

[Archangel1978]

"I'm heading to the prison this morning and looking forward to giving it a try. Call ahead and tell them to tell him I'm coming. Everyone else, looks like a quiet day, but if something comes up let me know. Kona, Chi, Danny show Maylea around some more and get her comfortable with some tech gear and communications."

Before he left he asked Malylea "What are some things that International has on Alasdair that we don't know? Or how he reacts in prison?"

 

[Asa]

Just tell him if it comes to it that it will be difficult to talk them into accepting a deal but you will try. Noncommital nothing any attorney could use.

She smiled to him and went to talk with Kona and wait for her boss to call.

Kona walked with her into a conference room sitting down to talk.

 

[Archangel1978]

Steve asked if Danno wanted to come to the prison but he declined.
"I've got to get something for my daughter during our brief period of down time. Besides, I think he'll react better to your sweet personality." Chin chuckled with Danno as Steve left the office and jumped into the car and drove off.

He arrived at the prison and was escorted to the interrogation room where Alasdair was sitting.

He walked right up to the chair and sat in it and got right to it.

"What can I do for you?" Steve offered in a very relaxed non threatening way knowing that he was in for a bit of a mind game. So he went at it gentle.

 

[Asa]

Alasdair looked to him calm for now.

You did what few have ever been willing to do in hunting me... you came at me face to face... I can respect that. I have been told some things about Jakob that worry me. Is is true that Jakob had been found beating on My Kalani?

He sat back waiting for an answer fearing what he would hear this man say. He knew that if it was true that the Drs would need to check her for more than they probably would.

She is still in the hospital correct? Tell the Drs there to check... My personal Dr before we came to the US said she was pregnant... please have your Drs check... please and I was taken down honestly face to face by those who view me as the enemy I accept that so all I ask is to see her once more before your courts chose a fate for me.

 

[Archangel1978]

Steve put on his best poker face when he heard the news that she was pregnant.
"I will get the doctors to look over her and make sure she's alright."
"If she is well enough to travel, I'll see what I can do to bring her here before you get your day in court."
"About what this Jakob did to Kalani, I honestly didn't witness it. My focus was on you. My other officer, my partner may have seen something. I will have to double check with him. I saw cameras in your house, I presume there were cameras recording all the time? If he can't remember or didn't see anything then we'll check the recordings to find something. But I will go to the hospital and see how she's doing to see if the doctor's checked her pregnancy."
Steve slowly got up and before he left asked politely "Anything else?"
