Rekindling in Hawaii (Closed)

Steve did an early morning workout and got his mind in the zone. Met Danny and they found Kona already in the van.

"Couldn't help looking at creepy russians hey?" Danny goaded Kona.

Steve ignored it and focused. "What's teh situation? Has anything happened? I don't want to hear about teh two of "them" and what they did. I want to know if anyone has come and gone."He almost demanded of Kona.

 

[Asa]

Everything is fine Bro. Chin snapped back at him as if reminding him that Kona nor any of them were the enemy and to back off.

Kona ignored both of them.

Jakob is aggitated as hell for some reason he keeps wanting to talk to Alasdair or Dominic but neither are willing to deal with him right now. Maylea went for a run and everyone is there but the Irish... nevermind here they are.

Her glare at Danny about his comment was followed by.

Didn't know when you would get here so someone needed to be here in case that dumbass went psycho.

Steve paused and took a second to remark Chin's tone.
He nodded towards Kona at her remarks. "Good foresight Kona." He said in a less aggressive more forgiving tone.
"It would seem then we just sit back and let her lead the show. Do we have a "GO" word or phrase? Kona, did you brief her on our breach protocol so she know's what to expect?"

 

[Asa]

Kona nodded.

The take down happens after the meeting once everyone has cleared out. International only wants the Molderos for now. She knows whats going on and will give us a signal. Will be seeing the guests out. The security gate will will stay open since everyone is gone. Once the cook is in that side garden the old camera can see we go in. He is an innocent 80 year old they hired here on the island she wants him safe so when he leaves the house we go in.

Steve listened intently and nodded. Danny started preping for the breach. Strapping on his vest along with ammo clips and checking his weapons.
Steve looked into teh cameras waiting for the signal as he prepared as well.

 

[Asa]

Several hours later the 4 limos filed out. The security gate closed and Maylea returned from her run shortly after. Half hour later the old man hobbled out to the garden.

Steve and Danny perked up.
"Ok people looks like this is it. Let's get ready and wait for the signal."

 

[Asa]

Kona saw the old man surveillance showed the front gate sparking and popping open.

Looks like thats the sign Kona called out and was already out of the van vest on AK in hand.

Chin looked as Max jumped in the van... informing them he was to keep an eye on the old man should any harm befall him as Chin ran out shotgun in hand.

Danny and steve jumped out of the van.
Steve pointed to the direction of the back for danny to cover. They were on a 30 count before they breached the door. Time for everyone to get in place.
Steve went to his position at the front while he waited in his mind and counted the count.
..27...28..29...
And on 30 he kicked in the door while the others followed the breach plan.
Danny was on teh back door while inside the plan was for Maylea to keep him under control while they breached the house and rushed in.

 

[Asa]

Once the breach was underway Alasdair was quickly shoving Maylea towards Jakob as he roared for the massive Russian to protect her with his life or else.

Kona made it in and was moving through a back hallway with several swat following letting them each take a room as she slowly methodically scouted out to find Maylea or Jakob.

Steve was searching out the house and found Alasdair and Jakob and Maylea in the living room. He froze and shouted "Freeze!" while a half moment froze in time while he analyzed the situation. She wouldn't jeapordize her cover at all so he wouldn't. He'd keep it intact.

 

[Asa]

Jakob simply roared placing his body between Maylea's and the cop and quickly moved her out of the room while Alasdair smirked at the cop. Once away from everyone Jakob shoved her into a room and backhanded her.

You friend... is cop... she must have done this... WHAT you tell her!?!?

Maylea scrambled away and stood back up quickly

What the Hell are you talking about Jakob?

With that an apparently "outmatched" fight began as Jakob went nuts assaulting Maylea who even now stayed in cover for the most part using only what Alasdair had Jakob teach her to defend herself.

Steve charged Alasdair with his adrenaline rushing. He pushed the gun back into his face and smashed his nose. Before Alasdairs gun hit the floor, steve had dropped Alasdair onto the ground and restrained his wrists behind his back.

He looked up at the fight that was starting and saw Malyea getting a couple of good hits in but he knew she was holding back.
He understood the cover being maintained. He smiled inside. All the more reason for him to go ape shit on the guy.

He lunged at the Russian like a freight train.

 

[Asa]

Dominic came out of no where slamming into the side of Steve. The older brother was more a a brick than Alasdair and twice as crazed in a fight. He tended to prefer bladed weapons as well as he leaped up ready to fight.

Kona found the room where Maylea and Jakob were in time to see him getting the upper hand till she called out.

Freeze 5 0. On the ground... Now!

Jakob turned sharp arms shooting out as he gripped Kona's arms and renching the gun free with surprising speed from his size. Gripping her throat making her face Maylea he roared out.

You friend what she tell you cop that you come here... What you tell her Kalani!!!! Now to protect everyone you learn lesson you watch you cop friend DIE!

A deadly calm came over the slightly beat up Maylea as she pulled her hand out from under the table. She knew all of Alasdair's and dominic's weapons hiding places as she leveled the gun

I don't think so Jakob...

A shot rang out from the 9mm as she managed to send the bullet on a deadly path slamming into Jakob above the right eye inches from Kona. The recoil not doing anything to help her sore shoulder as she winced sharp and finished collapsing to the floor. Kona stayed with her till it was safe to radio for ambulance.

Steve was recovering from his encouter with Jakob. Even though he was dead now, the wounds he was able to inflict were still somewhat evident.
The ambulance showed up along with the normal emergency vehicles and other cop stuff.
EMT's treated steve, maylea and Danny.
Danny had an encounter with a goon that gave him a elbow to the head. He had a nice big swollen bruise on his forehead.
Steve gently joked about it. "Nice new look you're sporting there Danno. Maybe I should get one."

 

[Asa]

Maylea snarled at the EMT shoving their hands away and trying to get off the gurney.

I'M FINE Let me out of here NOW!

Kona walked over gently getting the guy to step aside as she looked to Maylea

You just went a few rounds with Russian spec ops holding back as well I might add you need to get checked out you will get checked out or I will finish breaking that leg for you Got it. Get her out of here.

Kona then walked over to Steve Danny and Chin seeing the stares she shrugged.

What? ya just gotta know how to talk to her... She is not impossible.

Chin just laughed looking around to all of them then to the ambulance pulling away.

The next couple of days they all licked their wounds and then debriefed at the station.
"With Alasdair captured and in custody, what is the ramification on the island Maylea? Did your agency expect a kind of blowback or retaliation of anykind?

I've been in contact with the govenor about adding another member to our team and you are more then welcome to stay Maylea."Steve sipped his coffee while he reviewed the files.

 

[Asa]

There should not be any blowback Alasdair had it set up that if anything ever happened to him and his brother that Kalani had full control and power over his entire organization.

She closed her eyes and took a deep silent breath.

I will not give up International Steve. We have had this talk before remember.

Kona walked in.

We have a situation at the prison... Alasdair found out somehow about Jakob beating on Kalani and he wants to talk to the cop who arrested him because you did not sneak around him you came at him face to face like men and he suspects you would be honorable enough to help him get some answers.

Maylea looked to Steve.

Kalani can't go she is still in the hospital. Have fun...

Steve rolled his eyes. "well it never is easy. How about a nice big chow down at Kamekona's? My treat. After what we've been through on this case let's take a bit of a breather. He's in jail and not going anywhere for a day or two."
Danny begrugingly nodded.
"any one else?"

 

[Asa]

Take care of this soon Steve I am on a timeline about global news announcing the death at sea of Kalani and any remaining power structure. Beyond that yeah Kamekona's sounds great.

Danny so what all did Military let you find in your little fishing trip about me?

A knowing smile slipped across her lips as she stood walking out of the room.

They all headed over to the shrimp truck.
On the way there, Steve looked at Danny and said "That's what you get when you dig into military intelligence." He smiled.
"Hey i was just doing my due diligence buddy, they seem to have more of a counter intel then most places. My source obviously isn't that reliable."
"Well it's not a matter of not being reliable Danny, just know that if you looked up stuff on me even, i'll know."
"You know how you're going to play Alastair in prison steve?" Danny asked
"Not a clue. Just looking forward to shrimp right now."

 

[Asa]

Maylea knew he had gone to the Governor about wanting one more person. She had told the Governor that he would try to pull something like this. It was just one more attempt to get her to give up what she was good at all because of some macho worry on his part. No this crap was not going to bother her right now. Time to let Kamekona know the assignment is over and that she was back to being Maylea.

The shrimp was the same good shrimp you could count on. Steve loved counting on it.
He just enjoyed the shrimp.
Danny did the usual critique.
He let go of everything that had happened over the last little while. It was almost a zen experience.

 

[Asa]

She sat there staring out over the water and the island enjoying a meal as herself not having to be anyone not having to worry about anything... except Steve. How to handle that situation she never thought she would have to deal with again.

Kona and Chin knew this could go one of two ways... Strictly business or fireworks and neither wanted any part of setting the latter in motion.

Kamekona however had little care for anything like that as he spoke up.

Maylea you gonna stay here now right...

The big man did his best to look all sad puppydog to win her over.

Somebody gotta help Steve and them to properly educate the outtie Danny here.

Steve perked up when he heard big man trying to sway her mind. He didn't speak as Big Man had a sort of way with persuasion.
He needed to let go of Maylea and her emotional connection. He's still attracted to her. But past is past. If there is something new to develop then so be it. But he had to let the past go.
