When I was young we used to have an ice cream truck come by like 4-5x per day.
The whole street would be swamped with people buying stuff. I haven't heard or seen and ice cream truck in years now. I often wonder what went wrong

The whole street would be swamped with people buying stuff. I haven't heard or seen and ice cream truck in years now. I often wonder what went wrong
i don't remember a truck coming by that many times in a day, maybe 4-5 times a week. it seemed like kids from everywhere would come running once they heard the ice cream truck music. then we'd stare at the menu forever making life decisions.
it's the middle of summer and i have yet to see (or hear) a truck.

Those character lolly ices were glorious. I couldn't help but eat them so fast I'd get brain freeze.
Our ice cream guy began selling liquor and tobacco, then upped his game to milk, bread and clothing. Maybe the transition from ice cream man to bootlegger ruined the trade and memories.
