I am so pissed... and I need to get it off my chest.

1. Walmart sends out an ad.. has some things on sale I want. I look over the ad and decide to run to WalMart real fast (it's 10 miles away). While I'm there, I find the items I'm looking for.. and they are NOT priced the same as in the ad. Ok fine, I go up to the "service associate" and ask about it. She says "That ad starts Friday, can't you read?" (it was small print on the bottom of the page, items I wanted were on page 3 of this ad). I said "Actually, No I can't read." (now obviously.. I can read but she pissed me off). I walked out of the store, leaving a basket full of items. I don't know that I'll go back there.

2. I got up at 6am this morning.. made breakfast for my daughter... got her off to school and set in making homemade pumpkin pies and bars. I went shopping this afternoon.. after the WalMart incident I went and finished the grocery shopping for Thursday.. Good god.. DO NOT GO TO A GROCERY STORE TONIGHT OR TOMORROW... it could be the death of the faint at heart
hmmm got a tad bit off track.. anyway.. i came home from shopping... lugged in 800 shopping bags full of stuff. I promptly threw together a pot of homemade soup. (ok, i cheated and I'm using Soup Starter stuff, but it's kinda like homemade soup )
Anyway.. mom says "Homemade bread?" I looked at the clock (it says 5:00pm) I said "No, it's to late to make it, it takes atleast 4 hours to make" She instantly got pissed and threw one of her infamous baby fits. I said "Well we got some wonder bread". She says "I DON'T LIKE Wonder bread". I said "Then start buying your own damn groceries" (I pay all the food bills, she does occasionaly buy crap to fill the freezer with, that I get to throw away a year later)

Now she is ignoring me and throwing shit from her table to the floor. She is mad because her case worker came today.. and they have decided that she isn't in need of as much assistance she is receiving. Meaning.. She doesn't require the amount of hours I'm getting paid for. They are cutting my hours by half along with my wages. This is fine with me, but it pisses her off because now she has to do something for herself.

Ok.. enough rants for now.. I have to go finish dinner...

minxy.. I wasn't taking care of her for the money.. per say.. it's nice to get paid.. but I never was paid enough to call it a paycheck anyway.. I'm more of a slave to her. Well I was, that is slowely changing. I no longer let her control me. Hubby makes plenty of money.. and I have my inheritance if I need to use it. Although I'd like to hang on to that for a house of my own. Which should be soon. Hopefully by this summer.

Rant on Freaky Girl

Seems like last week was kind of like that for me. But then again most weeks are turning out that way here.

Hope you feel better soon. A good rant on the "fuck" thread always helps me let off steam.

regarding rant 2....It is important not to forget the power of threatening violence. I highly encourage it.

Sometimes shitty things all happen together.

First off, let me say
rant, unload, vent your spleen.
It does you good,it really does.

As a former retail employee, I have to identify and side with the associate in this matter.
I will tell you that she should not have said what she did, that was rude and uncalled for, however, let us look at it from the associate's point of view.

How would you like to be asked the same question over and over and over again? dozens of times in the course of a day by people who can not be bothered to listen?
Lest you think I am blaming you for this, I am not. If we all took a little time and paid a small amount of attention to what the ad says things would run much smoother.

It has been my experience though,
that it makes no difference where you print it, or how large you print it.
You could sky-write it, paint it on the side of the building, write it in letters 10 feet tall, they still would not able able to read it.
Not because they can't, but because they won't.

As a side note: Generally ads are sent out the week before the sale begins for ALL stores. Ours are, and I know Wal-Mart, K-Mart and Eckerd's all send theirs out a week in Advance.

The only thing I disagree with is in our store we put out our sale signs the evening before a sale and the print saying when the sale starts is half the size of this text I am writing in right now.

When I worked at Eckerd we would do the same, but we would activate the prices. Here at Ames we don't do that. It annoys ME. LOL.
