Radio Interview this week.

I've been invited to participate on a local radio show "The Author's Hour" and will be on the air this Tuesday October 25th at 9am EST.

You can listen by going to http://www.wnri.com/ and clicking listen now.

I'll be discussing my newly released erotic horror novel Every Dog Has its Day(originally a 2014 Halloween contest entry here, since pulled) and writing-and hopefully horror being its just before Halloween- in general. If I can work the conversation around to it, I plan on giving lit a plug.

So if you want to check me out and get new material to use to make fun of me feel free to see first hand why I'm better not seen....or heard.

That's awesome, I hope it goes well for you. And have fun. :)

You keep talking on that radio thing LC and the next thing ya know, you'll be doing book signings and things like that. ;)

Good Luck.

Much congrats, LC! :D
You'll be great. Just be yourself--you represent your genre well.

I'm having fun imagining your interviewer doing extensive research in preparation for your interview, spending hours and days and weeks reading erotic horror stories and getting some real "hands on" experience.
(On second thought, having heard that man's voice, I'm not sure I want that image in my head.)

I'm looking forward to listening to the show, and to seeing what's in store for you next.
Knock 'em dead. ;)

In case anyone is wondering what a couple people here mean by 'again' I did an interview on the same station a few months back and sent the link to a select few.

The host-who is old enough to have helped Marconi invent radio-obviously didn't read my book that I gave him(This one was for Abigail) so I went in expecting questions about the book and got asked everything else, so I don't think it came out the greatest.

I was invited back this week for the last show before Halloween and my plan this time is to be better prepared for him to not be prepared.

What made the first one worse, is the author's Hour is two half hour interviews. IN the first one the other author was my wife speaking on her motivational book and spiritual poetry we billed ourselves as the "Saints and sinners tour"

But she's a trained professional speaker and she went before me... no high bar at all.

The good news for whoever the other author is doing the show on Tuesday is I'm going first so they should feel pretty good about themselves when I'm done.

Pretty cool. As you noted, "investigative journalism" is dying out.

READ the material? PREP?

Good that you have had that experience to be able to "drive" this time.

I like to let a thread grow a bit before I pop into it. I swear the shit I find on the last page sometimes. WTF??? All you needed were poorly made hand puppets. ROFL

Congrats! Best of luck!

I would have listened in, but was at a funeral this morning.

Was the interview recorded, and can it be played back..?

Its actually tomorrow. They'll put it on a USB for me and once I convert it to an MP3(okay, when I get someone to do it for me) I'll upload it so people can link to it.

Congratulations and good luck!

I'd appreciate it if you'd record it and post it on this thread for us to listen to. I'll be at work at 9:00 AM.

rats. Must have JUST missed the end...

got working...and forgot to log on!

We'll have to wait for the recorded version. ;)

At least we'll be able to fast forward through the commercials. :D

I  your interviewer:
reading the first two pages, I though to myself 'this is just a porn book!' But then when you keep reading, you realize there is more to it.

Erotic horror= just a porn book :D

Most people who don't hang around here don't realize there is more to erotica than porn. Sounds like the host was a little more prepared than last time. Last time I don't think he even knew there were porn... uh... erotic writers in Rhode Island. :D

Where is the recording?

If you look further back in the thread I posted a link to where the station was smashed into by a drunk driver in the middle of the night a couple weeks ago.

They're operational, but still repairing some equipment. They couldn't download the recording to my usb as an mp3 all they can do is get me a disc which I'm picking up early next week. Once I convert it and upload it to my publisher's site, I'll link it here.

I can't poke much fun at him this time. He had actually read a lot of the book and there was a moment where I had this long pause, because he asked me about an upcoming project and I realized I was drawing an absolute blank on the characters name and after a few seconds he spoke up and reeled me back in.

As my wife says I 'go away' sometimes and that was one of those times:rolleyes:

Oh, and he has a couple books written about Nascar, so you might actually like him.

I totally missed this. Congrats on the interview and the book, I look forward to checking out the recording when it becomes available.
