So far, generalities. Nothing specific has been offered. So I'll throw something out for thought.
The key to financial success is education. Doesn't matter what the individuals race, religion, or sexual preference is. For over two decades now the black community has responded to polls regarding school vouchers in the affirmative but that never comes to pass. Why is that? The primary obstacle are the teachers unions. They exist to protect the teachers just as the police unions exist to protect the police. Failing teachers are protected from being weeded out of the system. So instead the various schools are allowed to accept or reject applications from the various employees (teachers). Consequently the very worst of he teachers end up clustered in the very worst of schools. In the large cities this is in the inner city black neighborhoods. Those children are denied a quality education.
Further there is no effective punishment that can be meted out short of expulsion which, or course, means no education at all.
One individual suggested specialized trade schools. An excellent idea, an idea that was pretty much the norm until the late 70's, early 80's. A group of parents filed suit that their little darlings were packed off to trade high schools and thereby denied the opportunity for college. It was a bogus suit, but the courts agreed and all of a sudden the "Technical" High Schools disappeared.
You cannot legislate jobs, let alone high paying jobs. In case anyone has failed to notice Walmart is planning on ridding it's stores of all cashiers. The chain grocery stores won't be far behind. The driving factor behind all of this is the various states legislatures mandating "living wages." All they've managed to do in the process is to force the retailers to eliminate all of the jobs they can that technology will allow. The key word is technology. There will be growth in that job marketplace but those jobs will require education. And so it goes full circle.

I would think that if the title no-knock warrant has warrant in it you would assume that a warrant is required for a no-knock. I'm the idiot?

I'm wondering what warrant, no knock or otherwise, have to do with racial equality?

This thread illustrates clearly that Bellisarius and like minded people have missed the entire point and object of the recent protests. Bellisarius set the subject of debate and then further suggested that it be conducted in terms that he and the current wielders of power and influence are comfortable with.
The basic point Bellisarius is that you and people like you have lost control of the issue. Racial minorities have started to realize that nothing of substance is ever achieved for them by your frankly patronizing notion of civilized debate.
Privileged America controls the purse strings, the money, the institutionalized processes of government, the law. Black people as a whole have achieved next to nothing by trying to work through these structures. The Conservatives in this thread in particular are not prepared to do anything whatsoever which might cost them anything - just pious talk of education, training and motherhood opportunity claptrap about opportunity.
I suspect that the minorities are sick to the back teeth of being last in line - they are going to start taking what they want and it will be a damn sight more than some inconsequential looting in the ghettos.
How or when it will conclude I have no idea, but it will be ugly.

The problem is police brutality, and they definitely have something to do with that.

The real issue for minorities (in this case, it means blacks)
in not making any advances is that they adhere to one party,
and one party only. The Democrats are more than happy to give them lip service
knowing full well that they don't have to follow-through on any of it, so they patronize.
It's the same thing as with Kaepernick,
everyone talks about how they'd love to give him a chance,
but they won't because he's no longer good enough; the NFL is tough,
but it costs them not one red cent to go on and on about how he needs opportunity.
It has nothing to do with that Capitalist line of bullshit,
that's pretty much straight out of Alinsky.
We are not a Democracy simply because
our Founders understood it to be a pernicious evil;
they set up a system to protect us from the momentary
passions and whims of the mob and is what we are
witnessing now, a mob generated by outrage but
with no real uniting philosophy or goal other than
a vague sense of "something bad happened..."
