I need a fairly foul-smelling liquid. My head is somewhat empty in this regard, and I want to get this written, so I figured I'd ask if anyone has any good ideas.

It would be even better if it was somewhat sticky, but it's not required. Something of the sort you might pour over the keyboard of your worst enemy (if you were so inclined). Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

You can buy small bottles of deer urine, fox urine, or--wait for it--skunk juice--at sporting goods stores. It seems that hunters and fur trappers douse themselves in this stuff to mask human scent that might frighten their prey away from its impending doom.

It might be a bit tough to explain that factoid in a story without digression, but I have no doubt it would make your worst enemy an extremely unhappy camper.

Do you know how that stuff looks, by any chance?

What about fish oil! :p or used gearbox oil from a car
Hmm, that's a good idea too. This may be a stupid question, but does fish oil actually smel like - well, fish?

Animal urine looks pretty much like the human variety. I've never had enough guts to inspect skunk spray up close and personal--it has an odd greenish tinge when it hangs in the air at a little distance.

Fish oil (cod liver or otherwise) would be a natural--especially if you let it sit in a warm place a few days until it goes rancid.

Another possibility would be to let a few onions or a head of cabbage spoil and then whiz it up in a blender.

Perhaps worst of all would be some liquid cow shit (farmers use it as fertilizer). This stuff can unhinge the nose permanently!

how about the slimy juice that oozes from raw chicken once its gone off!! Euuurch!

Or the slime that collects at the bottom of a fishtank that hasnt been cleaned out!

Wow... quite the possibilities!

Poor Jenna

I'm kind of liking the skunk stuff. At least I know how that smells. It's not really a big deal where someone would get it from, as long as it's fairly widely available.

And no, I've never cooked Mackeral. What is that?

"Skunk Juice" is an oily, colorless liquid.

But the classic high-school chemestry lab prank is to swipe a bottle of the concentrated chemical that gives Limburger Cheese it's bad smell and put it on the radiator or in an air-conditioning vent. Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of the chemical, but I'm sure that Google knows what it is.

Fish oil doesn't really smell all that bad when fresh, but pushing a couple of fish-oil gel-caps under the keys of a keyboard where normal typing would cause them to break open (and later rot into a truly foul smelling dead fish odor) sounds like the kind of revenge prank you need.

Well I wasn't actually going to pour it over someone's keyboard, that was just an example. As a matter of fact, it was going to go into someone's locker. Thank you very much, however, for helping out with this.

The fish-oil-gel-caps on keyboard sounds mean

How tempting!

Bot no thanks, I couldn't possibly accept your generous gesture.

:D

Fox urine? It's used as an attractant for trappers and is available at some sporting goods stores.

I presume trappers find it difficult to pull.
